Learning to be on graveyard shift again.

I have been waiting almost 2 years to get taken on full time at the sensory deprivation float place i have been 1 day a weeking for about a year now.

The person who does graveyard is moving and the spot is open so I am taking it. 

It is actually a really sweet gig regardless of the time of day.  I have 3 days to adjust, so I think my body will not retaliate too bad.

What are you all up to?  I am just sippin on puerh tea and trying to stay up.

Just finished a graveyard re-adjustment myself... been doing it since I was 18, went through hell to switch to a day schedule so I could get the most out of job hunting and interviews, pretty much the second i'd fully adjusted I got hired on for graveyards again... my body pretty well hated me for that.

I bet.  I was told the night time shift would be temp until the hired someone.  I think I'll enjoy sorta working by myself and being quiet though.  I have not had that in a long time.

do you usually get a lot of clientele that late? just wondering.

sounds good though, i'm sure it's better than working graveyard for ship & receiving jobs. and if you get tired you can just take a nap in the chamber. :yesnod:

You work at a sensory deprivation/floating tank place?! That's so cool!! I've always wanted to do that I've never found one close to me though.

Even working at a restaurant/bar until last call fucked me up and turned my shit all upside down. Mainly because I got home at 3am and then had to get up at 7:30am to move my car to avoid a parking ticket, and then try and get back to bed for like 45 minutes before I had to get ready and go to class. Thankfuck I was only working there part time otherwise the scheduling would've killed me.
I would never be able to handle a graveyard shift and school without a boatload of amphetamines because I don't think I'd find the time to sleep.

I also think I'd probably end up fucking up my sleep schedule even more and getting all depressed working that sort of shit.

lol.  I try and set rooms up, and treat clients in a fashion in which I would desire. 

  Although, I get to write the music that gets played to let them know their time is up.  That is fun.
