Re: Humidity Prob. HELP

I have yet to birth my cakes, but what I am going to do is have 2 aquarium air pumps with one hose run to both, and holes punched in the middle of the hose, run it underneath the pperlite. it will look something like this: (pump)-----^^^-----(pump) I didnt have any extra cash to buy an airstone, and I had the pumps left over from my version of the dead sea in an aquarium. Im using basically the same setup as you, except Im using a white ceiling grate thing to keep the cakes off the ground, its more sturdy.

jimmyjames-rig up a bubbler.take an air pump, put it in a container with a hole cut in the lid and a hepa air filter covering the whole.punch a whole in the side of the container and run a tube from the air pump into a jar(i always use a BALL pint jar w/ 2 holes in the lid).fill the jar half or 3/4 full of h2o or h2o2 and put the hose from the air pump into the water, and run another tube into the jar about 1/2 to 3/4 inches down so it doesnt touch the water.then, run that tube to the aquarium, right about level with the cakes/casings.it works just like a bong and provides humidity and oxygen.

if you stick a heating pad under your tub you'll be able to raise the temp and the amount of evaporated water, so higher humidity.
