I dont work there and I really dont care what they do or do not do but Im not going to
pretend that its realistic for everyone to start their own fucking business. Many people
just dont have what it takes upstairs so they take the jobs they can. That should not suggest
they should be allowed to be shit on by a giant corporation just because it can do so.

Is it alright with you if a small sole proprietorship shits on them?

Care to elaborate on how exactly you started a business working minimum wage 100% on your own? Cuz I havent seen anyone live anything other then a hand-to-mouth existence.

I work at a craft store and am already feeling the Christmas spirit. Stuck up bitches that are entitled to everything.

Also can't understand why we're only open half the day on thanksgiving. Not open to early afternoon mind you, which would allow us to have time with families. No, we're only open from 4pm til 11, the main time of day where one might want to relax and be thankful for whatever.

Guess who gets to go back in 8 hours later to deal with more stupid bitches at 7am?

Probably because most people, or at least people who will be out shopping, are done in the late afternoon/early evening. Thanksgiving "dinner" for my family and the two other families I've had it with were always more of a lunch.

I didn't work minimum wage for long.  I learned my trade and made more than that as an employee.  I had my own company at 28.  The capital investment was in tools which I had acquired over time.  It probably cost me less than $2,000 to go out on my own.

Construction.  Specifically carpentry which became general contracting and management.  Do you know what is sad?  I'm usually the only English speaking person on a jobsite.  Americans are abandoning the construction trades.

Out of curiosity, could you give a rough breakdown of the tools that you spent that initial $2000 on?

None.  It was insurance.

I did both at the same time.  I could have gone to grad school, I had profs asking me my plans.  I had had more than enough of school.

The CEO of Walmart Michael Duke makes more in an hour, than his employees make in an entire year.

Michael Duke's $35 million salary, when converted to an hourly wage, worked out to $16,826.92. By comparison, at a Walmart store planned for the Windy City's Pullman neighborhood, new employees to be paid $8.75 an hour would gross $13,650 a year.

I see, but I was wondering more what tools you started out with.

He prob acquired all the stuff he needed (general carpentry tools) just working for other people(skills included). Hell I'm slowly amassing a arsenal of tools myself I consider the cost to be partly business partly pleasure. But bet one day you were like "why the fuck am i working for this guy I can do it all myself." Bam Zappaisgod Construction llc was founded

No, there never was an epiphany.  It was planned.  The timing was flexible but the destination was not.  I would also point out that as I acquired and used more tools I was paid more by the people I worked for.

I mostly had already acquired this stuff over 4-5 years:

Truck, some ladders, pump jacks, roof brackets, circular saw, table saw, primitive electric chop saw, drill (cordless did not exist).  A bunch of manual hand tools.

The start up cost was pretty much all overhead/administrative.

What a damn shame.
