Bullshit. This is just the beginning.

We are but noobs in the intergalactic society. Whole new worlds and dimensions are gonna open up.

i wonder sometimes...there is a possibility, at least in my mind, (clearly not in the mind of some here) that maybe just MAYBE we are the first ones EVER who can you know, think. i certainly dont rule out the possiblity that there are other things out there, that would be silly just givin the odds and numbers of things in general. but its weird thought.

sorry to burst your bubble but we aren't. There's life forms out there with billions of years more evolution than we can imagine.

Hmm, I'm not sure how I feel about this. I read an article which said society as a whole is becoming stupider just because society allows stupid people to survive. Before civilization, stupid people would die because they didn't have the faculties to survive on their own. For the drop in intelligence to come from this, it would be like the average lifespan going up just because less babies are dying at birth. It would be a bit misleading to say that society is getting dumber in that scenario although it would technically be true.

As for lack of socialization leading to a drop in intelligence, I don't really buy that.

Stupid people are gonna take over the world and blah dee blah dee blah, more crime and death and whatnot for the smart people to observe from a safe distance away and profit off of, yeahhhhh!!!

I think the decline in socializing in person would increase the intelligence because you're not having to listen to all of the dumb noises and stupid faces people make when they talk. With text, it's mostly just information that's easy to understand. I work at Mcdonald's and live in a southern state, so you can imagine I have to look at and listen to a LOT of stupid bullshit and I honestly believe that kind of shit can make a person stupid. A lot of people wonder why I don't talk. It's because they're morons that don't know anything about anything and I'm tired of hearing stupid shit day after day. But talking can be a stress-releasing thing because sometimes tension builds up in me when I go a long time without talking.

Eh. With how vast the universe is, I wouldn't doubt it at all. We certainly aren't the only life forms out there, and most likely not the smartest of them either. The universe is so big we can't even scope out everything.

Especially when you consider that we are all comprised, mainly, of the most abundant elements in the universe. There's probably loads of other forms of life, both more advanced and somewhat behind.

I think nature has taken our intelligence as far as it will take us.  I also believe that drugs (not psychs) and procedures will be invented to artificially increase our intelligence.  Where as a genius being born is a random occurrence,  we will be able to treat the fetus or the newborn with man-made technology in order to increase the child's natural intelligence.

I believe there must be an abundance we can't even fathom of intelligent life-forms out there. Ranging from from species that have evolved millions, maybe billions of years ahead of us, to species that are nowhere near our level.

How does that factor into our own evolution tho? We have such a short history as a species on this planet, it's hard to say if we reached our peak.

Is the trend of skull expansion still happening? Or are we doomed to a more superior species that evolves from us in a hundred thousand years?

then you got to look at time and distance too, the could have  billion's of years evolution on us and also have been extinct for billions of years and be billion's of (light)years away for us

Brain size is slowly, but perceptible decreasing from our distant ancestors size. The neanderthals skulls were noticably bigger hten current humans, so were our direct ancestors. That doesnt mean we arnt making more effective use of what we go though. As far as slowly decreasing intelligence I think were no less or more intelligent then humans from 3,000 years ago. Certain civilizations showed a huge degree of intelligence, comparable to our own currently. there isnt much room for evolution over such a short time scale, we've grown a lot better at retaining information but I dont believe our capacity for  overall intelligence has increased.

Why do you have to jack everyone's threads and start talking about mushrooms?!

lolol

Just Kidding... as you probably know... not about the talking about mushrooms part though =)

How do you guys like to find out that a Psilocybe species is what we all evolve into and it keeps feeding us it's DNA for a few more million years and we are there... but for right now we're 467,000 years into our development as a psilocybin producing species.

I was reading an article about how some scientists have said that we've reached the peak of human intelligence, and that it's slowly declining due to lack of social interaction.

Although technology will keep progressing at a steady rate, our overall evolution of how smart we can become has peaked.

What do you guys think?

shitty genes expand at an exponentional rate.

This.

Smart people don't tend to have 8+ offspring.

I thought of this:

We are here to assist, to teach you to evolve as we go through this process together. We give our own version of things only to bring you to a higher consciousness. No matter what situation you find yourself in, it is the power of your thoughts that got you there. It is also the impeccable belief that thought creates that will transform your experience and the planetary existence.
