Where the fuck are the intelligent people....
    #3423378 -

How is it that I live on the biggest college campus in the state and still cant seem to find anyone worried about more than their new abercrombie sweater or how many bitches they got numbers from this weekend or which hotel their dad got them reservations for at spring break?

All I want is a couple people with whom I can sit around, smoke copius amounts of ganja, and discuss philosophy/books/religion/metaphysics/world-affairs. But apparently, this is impossible to find in wisconsin.

When a COLLEGE is a cesspool of idiocy, where the hell is the intelligence?

If it is life that you feel you are missing I can tell you where to find it.  In the law courts, in business, in government.  There is nothing occurring in the streets. Nothing but a dumbshow composed of the helpless and the impotent.    -Cormac MacCarthy

Unfortunately, people with real interests and intelligence are few and far between. Smarter than average people end up feeling alienated and alone a lot of the time due to the rampant idiocy of the human race in general.

I'm still wondering this myself.

--------------------
The very nature of experience is ineffable; it transcends cognitive thought and intellectualized analysis. To be without experience is to be without an emotional knowledge of what the experience translates into. The desire for the understanding of what life is made of is the motivation that drives us all. Without it, in fear of the experiences what life can hold is among the greatest contradictions; to live in fear of death while not being alive.

it is difficult... i second what adug(forfreedom) said, though...

you will have trouble finding like minded individuals simply because the pathe your walking offers some resistance...

so many people love to take the easy way out/in.

peace, understanding

That's funny..every time I visit friends in Madison, we sit around, smoke copius amounts of ganja, and discuss books/philosophy/religion/music/politics...also usually end up seeing natty nation, there's some fuckin reggae, movingtarget. one of the best i've heard too, you'd never guess they were from wisconsin.
Anyway, i hope you find your intellectual equals, man :peace:

I used to live in Madison. Very cool people in Madison. I'm in Milwaukee right now, going to school. This city is a slum.

There are two ways to get to the top of an oak tree: start climbing or sit on an acorn.

Are you a carrot, an egg, or a coffee bean?
