opiates my best choice?
    #17197116 -

long story short, i get 100% releif from my stomach issues, ibs, back pain, anxiety, chest injuries, kidney stones, scar tissue pain, and insomnia from opiates. i know i'm forgetting a few others. i recently tapered off and am now taking an insane amount of benzos just to sleep while getting no relief for my other symptoms. i'm really not even getting good sleep. in the daytime, i'm anxious and not working on what i'm supposed to. with the opiates, i'd wake up at 6am and get right to work. does anybody live with opiates just to have a comfortable and productive life? i can't see living this way too much longer without breaking down. i needed the opiates a month ago but they solve all issues i battle on a normal day that my doctor can't alleviate any other way.

don't blame the drugs.

all through history we've been a worried or anxious species..

a lot of addiction is just blaming anxiety on substances bc it's easy

i've been back and forth with opiates and found them the most helpful of all herbs, although very dangerous.

how long have you been using 'em consecutively? Once my tolerance started to skyrocket, a lot of the "benefits" started to fade, and instead I just had a monkey on PCP on my back. Long term? probably not your best option. I went through three stints of over a year each, and always ended up desperate and hopeless... and then I had to kick which was even worse.

med marijuana don't do shit. it makes some of the symptoms worse. the only thing wrong with opiates i can see is the tolerance, as long as i'm still living a healthy life. i've used dilaudid 24-32mg for about a year 2 years ago, and just quit norco 80mg tapered daily a few days ago.

i'm seriously considering hurting my chest again to easily get back on them.

oh yeah, i'm on lorazepam, 30 kava extract capsules, and chem dawg+cd hash so i should be a bit tranquil, but not a chance.

as long as you don't feel like shit i guess. just pay attention to the way you feel. if you start feeling like shit all the time it's a good idea to cut back on the meds.

you're probably better off on opiates than benzos. have you tried kratom? Suboxone?

i hate kratom unless in horrible dilaudid withdrawl, no on suboxone. i hve a tendency to abuse my benzos and never my opiates.

Based on the threads you've made, and suggesting to have cancer for very menial symptoms, it sounds like you have classic signs of hypochondriasis.

In fact the more posts and threads I read from you on this health forum really paints the picture of a hypochondriac.

Not meant as an insult, just a pretty thought out observation of your concerns and tendencies.

my doctors say otherwise though. otherwise they wouldn't be giving me full bottles of narcotics.

by the way, until you start LISTENING to people, you're going to make a horrible doctor, no offense.

Listening to you is why it seems so likely that you're a hypochondriac.

Overly preoccupied with their normal body functions and sensations, hypochondriacs will convince themselves that these normal functions or a slight irregularity with them are signs of a life-threatening disease. To a hypochondriac, excessive sweating may be a sign of diabetes or a thyroid condition and a minor headache a brain tumor.

Or in your case, a scab means possible melanoma, or slight bodily ache means lymphoma.

You even straight up declared that you have toxocariasis (which is a medical emergency)  JUST BECAUSE you were seeing floaters in your eyes.

It's abundantly clear that you are a hypochondriac.

aparently you're one of those doctors who can't diagnose shit so they label you a hypochoncriac. i have actual  diagnoses for my conditions and see my doctors almost weekly. melanomas do sometimes fall off. that mole was supposed to be removed surgically. i don't know why you come to my threads mocking me when you have never met me. some people do have alot of compounded medical issues that doctors have a hard time making sense of. there is no possible way you can help with your hypochondria diagnosis. not one doctor has ever diagnosed me with that.

You clearly take offense to being suggested that you're a hypochondriac.  But it's a diagnosis that alot of doctors aren't willing to make because if they do so it makes them vulnerable to litigation of the presence of actual treatments.  Which is why it's a significant occupational hazard to diagnosis patients with hypochondriasis.

And it's not a diagnosis that's appropriate for regular clinicians to make, it's something more appropriate for psychiatrists diagnose.

I think you assume being a hypochondriac is some kind of insult, when is why you lash out with so much verbal hostility.  But it's really not a label of someone who does these things out of malicious or malingering intent.

People with this condition truly do believe that every minor symptom they experience is possibly due to a drastic, life threatening illness.

And with your threads, which I've read and studied pretty intently, you tend to refer back  to not just suspecting that certain minor symptoms are either cancerous or a major disease, you state it with strong faith and conviction.

Like in your thread where you declare you have toxocariasis, you take a minute symptom of seeing floaties in your eyes, straight to drawing the conclusion that it's due to this life threatening disease, and nothing else.

You went so far as to say:

passifloracaerulea said:
i KNOW i see the worm and larva. they just look at me like i'm nuts though and always want to get to the real reason i'm there.

Even in that thread someone suggests you might be a hypochondriac and you mention how you take great offense to that.

In your concerns about lymph pain, you again indicate that lymphoma has to be the most likely cause, despite the far more common causes of swollen glands and lymph pain, the nonspecific etiology of your symptoms, and how the lymph pain and swelling has been intermittent.  While in true lymphoma pain tends to be pretty constant and progressive.

And despite your drawn conclusions of how it's "most likely" lymphoma, the symptoms went away.

In your thread about scratching off a mole, you even refer to it as a "tumor" that you scratched off.

I mean, don't you see the clear pattern here?

I know how hard it is to come to terms with the possibility of having a psychiatric disorder, because I myself suffer from one as well.

You do seem like someone who is sincere with your health concerns, and it's important to understand this isn't a knock on your cognitive abilities or insight.

It's just that at this point, the best person who can treat your ailments might be a psychiatrist.

And I hope you don't get offended again by this suggestion.  It's just an observation from a study of the concerns and patterns you've been sharing on here.

you're very judgemental for not knowing any of these cases first hand. just because i write this or that about a symptom, i'm not being diagnosed at the moment and you won't get the full story ever from this website. study me haha!! yeah, you'll find alot of drug induced semi-wit.

I know that you can't simply scratch off melanoma.

And that lymphoma isn't "highly likely" when lymph pain comes and goes and eventually fades away.

And that just having floaties in your eyes doesn't mean you definitely have toxocoriasis.

But you were so sure there were worms and cysts that you were looking at.

still see worms but diet and excerize have saved my life, even booted out more kidney stones. lymphoma may have not been, but it was pretty definite. doctor wanted ther mole removed, it fell off. not much more to say. i don't worship jesus. maybe it was the black rock desert alkali dust.
