Trying Win8 in the kitchen -

Set it up to stream a bunch of news sites
weather
radio station streaming
foodnetwork app
allrecipies app
shopping lists app (with coupon printing ability)
facebook
email


So far it's kinda cool.  We'll see if it's still useful in a month, or if it's just a gimick.

Windows 8 is stupid as fuck, I hate it.
maybe slightly tolerable ok on a tablet/touchscreen, but fuck that as a desktop OS. and fuck microsoft for trying to be more like apple.

I was really disappointed when I heard that this was going to look like windows media center; then to see how

Said how they were going in the direction of apple.

Wish there was an Open Source operating system like XP or 7 - that could go in it's own path.

And still work with all hardware.

Win 8 sucks without the start menu..... It should have the option to turn the old style on

It's not that they are trying to be apple. They just stole apple's ideas and produced them before apple did.

I personally like the integration with xbox and tablets and phones but the layout is stupid. It looks like they took it from the windows phone which is fucking terrible. They would have won if they gave us all the wireless support with devices and left the windows 7 look.
Oh well, lets all just not buy it so they can put windows 9 out in 6 months and resort back to the original 2000, xp, 7 layout.
