Only you could use support drug legalization while defending an anti medical marijuana candidate and bringing up a nonsequoitor about the president. LOL

cannabis does not, THC is claimed to have anti-cancer properties but so far
we know this to be effective when pure THC is injected into the tumor

No. Mitt Romney was the 70th Governor of Massachusetts, in office from January 2, 2003 – January 4, 2007. The law "decriminalizing" possession of less than one ounce of marijuana was only able to move forward after he left office. Mitt fought tooth and nail to prevent it from moving forward during his watch. Please reference Comm. v. Keefner, 461 Mass. 507 (2012).

But what does that have to do with your partisan Obama references? He is no friend of liberty either but you and zappis seem intent on spreading lies to support one prohibition candidate in particular.

More and more I find Mitt Romney to be a hilarious candidate ... really fun to listen to.  The man is so confused about how to behave, and about what to say, when he's around actual people.

Seriously, Mitt "Who let the dogs out? Who? Who?" Romney cracks me up, and Mitt "Corporations are people, my friend ... Human beings, my friend" Romney kills me!  Mitt "I'm kind of a Snooki fan ... Look how tiny she's gotten" Romney has me rolling!

I'm with Zappa & Prisoner#1; I can't wait to vote this joker into office!

What is YOUR point? Nobody even brought Obama up. Both work toward the same goal which is disenfranchising you and I. Marijuana helps people just as much if not more than aspirin with none of the side effects. It's just a fact at this point. Getting high feels good. :/

On a site where it's easy to find posts where people state they won't vote for Romney because of his stance on drugs, yet will still vote for Obama (despite him not reigning in his Justice Department), you don't see the point of Zappa's question?

Really?

Huh.

Zappa is VERY CLEAR:

He is trying to bully the "slow pot heads" into believing that our only choice in life is between Prohibitionist#1 and Prohibitionist#2, and that one is better and significantly different than the other.

Apparently, the "slow potheads" and "fools"'aren't buying into the false dichotomy.  They probably aren't convinced by narrow-minded partisan thinking and insults--that'd be my guess, anyway.

At least Obama admits to having smoked pot.

Romney thinks even a simple cup of coffee will pollute his "temple".

Obama has a long, long way to go on legalization of pot, but at least I think he's on the right path. I'll vote for Obama even though I fear the feds may someday bust my Oregon-legal grow site.

What does "bullying" have to do with it? He is of course absolutely correct. Ron Paul will not be the next Preezy. Nor will Gary Johnson. It will be either Romney or Obama, and why so many of you guys seem unable to grasp this simple fact - and yes, it is a fact - is a source of enduring amusement to the rational readers of this forum.

And yes, Romney is clearly better than Obama, and the policies he and his running mate advocate are significantly different than those advocated by Obama and his running mate. There may not be a whole hell of a lot of difference between the two on the medical marijuana issue, but there are a whole hell of a lot of issues a whole hell of a lot more important than medical marijuana.

Utter nonsense. His question is quite direct.

I'm not surprised that most declined to answer. Ah, the sweet stench of hypocrisy.

Zappa's question is a fair question, but it doesn't have anything to do with this thread...unless you go with the notion that attacking romney is endorsing obama.  That notion is simply not true.  I am pretty sure there is a value in attacking a particular candidate in and of itself.

A much more important question is:  Why is this thread not locked yet?

About what? The choice is either Romney or Obama. Two people. Not three. Not four. One of two people will be the next president, and those two people are Mitt Romney and Barack Obama. In what possible way is pointing out this obvious fact a lie?

Quote:

Corrected on what? That someone other than Romney or Obama has a chance of being the next president? To assert that someone other than Obama or Romney has such a chance to be the next president is not to "correct" someone, it is to lie.

And again, you are as wrong as wrong can be. He's not "promoting a false choice", he's pointing out an obvious fact: even if every single reader of this forum were to cast a vote for someone other than Obama or Romney, one of those two will be the next president. So which one do you least want to see get the job? Because one or the other of them is going to get it.

Its not a lie to say one of those people will be president, it is a lie to say you have two choices to vote for.  I challenged the later, and zappa's been corrected before without excuse.

I want Romney to get the job, and I want people to vote for a third party if they support them.

You conflate the choice of who will be president (which you don't have) with the choice of who to vote for (which you do have and which I challenged zappa on).

This false choice that leads people to vote for guys that want them in jail is making things worse.  Its a dillema every election- if you keep voting for who you don't want, you'll keep getting what you don't want.

All it takes is to make the swing voters a signifigant portion of the electorate and signify their support for particular issues, and the politicians will cater to them.  Right now, people are voting for guys that want them jailed, and hence there's not much reason to accomodate them.

You don't need to win the election, you only need to be able to throw it, and you only need one vote for that.  As it is, the libertarian vote has allready been enough to throw presidential elections, and its getting bigger and harder to write off when constructing a platform.

Yeah, you had the same bullshit in 2008- all these people coming on here claiming they would vote for Paul for president, and chastising others for not being involved enough.  They didn't even know he wasn't running :foreheadslap:
