i use a little hydrogen perxodie in the water for the sprayer bottle.some people ahve worked out exact measurements for this but i just eyeball it. and sometime ill run it over a cut to see if it kinda bubbles still. and as for ventilating in contams, the only thing like that ive seen is (green,cobweb)mold on my jiffy-mix when i case. but if your using cakes i woulndt worry.another thing ive noticed and it seems to be backed up by the heavyweights here is under ventillating leads to small ass caps. other opinions may vary

Bill,

Throw away your plexiglas divider and fill the bottom of your terrarium with wet perlite. You will get much better humidification, with less maintenance.

I'd advise sterilizing the perlite, as well as adding some H2O2 to the water.

As for ventilition, I ususally ventilate my terrariums about 3 times a day, but I have found that when I leave town for a few days, and they are'nt being ventialted at all during that time, there are often HUGE-ass shrooms waiting when I get home. Any comments?

Psycho Mike has the right idea. check out a perlite tek.very little maitenance.sory I haven't done the hand sprayer tek.can't help ya there
