The first is an awesome song by NIN

The second is a shitty "diss" track by a sub par band who got butthurt when Trent Reznor said that they were everything that was wrong with the music scene at that point in time

not much more to make of it

Maybe if you are 15 years old and think nu metal is the bees knees

Also it has to be 2001 at the time because if you are 15 years old and its much later than that you probably dont know who limp bizkit are anyways

well it kind of worked (i loved blasting hotdog in my mums car :lol:)

but the character in trents song seems pretty repulsive'ah im so fucked' and dursts response seems good, 'you're not special we're all fucked, kiss my ass.'

that said i also prefer nin

IDK I can enjoy some of Bizkit's stuff on a superficial party time level, or at least i could in high school, i have no real desire to put it to the test today... But I don't even think it was a very good diss track

you wont find many (i cant think of any actually) diss tracks outside of rap music

even the aforementioned limp bizkit track is rap... albeit a shitty bastardized version of rap thats trying to be metal... but its a rap song nonetheless

I used to listen to NIN all the time but not for many years, I just burned myself out on it and now it reminds me of the past. Same thing for Aphex Twin to some degree.

Those Halo numbers are marketing genius, makes you want to collect all of them.
