Just thought I would make a bit of a list of sites I use regularly to help with identifiction purposes.
Australian Sites.
http://www.rbg.vic.gov.au/fungimap/home - Fungimap, good site with lots of info, their newsletters have some really handy stuff amongst them.
http://www.elfram.com/fungi/fungi_home.html - Bill Leithhead's Fungi Pages, photos and descriptions of a large number of Australian fungi.
http://www.utas.edu.au/docs/plant_science/tasfungi/index.html - Tasmanian Fungi, lots of good research papers.
http://www.environment.gov.au/biodiversity/abrs/online-resources/glossaries/fungi/index.html - ABRS Glossary, A pretty decent glossary of mycolgical terminology.
http://www.australasianmycology.com/ - The Australasian Mycological Society, has access to AMS journels in PDF format.
http://www.anbg.gov.au/fungi/index.html - Australian National Botanic Gardens, lots of good info here.
www.hiddenforest.co.nz - NZ Fungi page, although we don't have all the same species this site is laid out well and makes it easy to find the right genus and continue searching elswhere from there.
http://www.rbg.vic.gov.au/dbpages/cat/index.php/fungicatalogue - Interactive Catalogue of Australian Fungi. (Cheers Tim)
Australian Fungi - A Blog. - A blog all about Australian Fungi. (Thanks Mayo!)
Links to downloadable/printable Australian field guides.
http://www.fungiperth.org.au/Fieldbook-all/Perth-Fungi-Field-Book.html - Field guide to urban mushrooms of Perth. *Note: They seem to update this from time to time and it goes offline for a while when they do.
http://www.denmark.wa.gov.au/councilservices/naturalresourcesmanagement.file/flora/documents/guidetomacrofungi.pdf "A guide to macrofungi in the shire of Denmark, Mt Hallowell & Wilson Inlet foreshore reserves."
Not specifically Australian sites.
www.mushroomobserver.org - Mushroomobserver, self explanatory.
www.mushroomexpert.com - An excellent source of information, with many keys to specific genera.
www.rogersmushrooms.com/ - Lots of good info, and a "visual key" which can be quite handy when starting out.
www.mykoweb.com - Handy site, often lists mushrooms commonly mistaken for the one you are viewing.
http://www.amanitaceae.org/ - Rod Tulloss' site on Amanitaceae
http://www.gymnopilus.org/ - Bloodworm's Gymnoplilus site.
Tom Volk's Fungus of the Month - As the title suggests. (Cheers Gnomes!)
Other.
http://steveaxford.smugmug.com/ - Steve Axford Photography, not much help for ID purposes, but some of the best mushroom photography you're likely to see.
http://www.namyco.org/toxicology/tox_report_30year.html - NAMA Toxicology and reports of mushroom poisonings. (Cheers Alan)
I have probably forgotten some/will find more, so I will update accordingly.
Also if anyone has others that I have left off, shoot me a message and I will update the list. (I'm lookin' at you TimmiT)
Happy hunting all.
Edit: 1/7/12: Added suggestions by Mayo and Gnomes. Fixed formatting so it looks more purty like.
Edit: 15/11/12: Added Bloodworm's Gymnopilus site.

Nice list I'll have to check my bookmarks next time I'm on my home computer to see if I can add anything.
One site I often use is the Interactive Catalogue of Australian Fungi

Ooops forgot that and it's in my bookmarks too
It's a really good site for finding synonymous names, amongst other things.
Thanks Tim!

About Fungimap - seems like a retarded question but how the hell do you see the map? I was expecting a searchable database with locations of finds that people had logged. I was going to use it to find some good edible hunting areas.
Or is this resource only usable when you have purchased the DVD? Is there even a map?

If you notice at the bottom of the main page.
"The part of the Fungimap website that has information and pictures for each target species is currently being rebuilt, and will be fully back online sometime in 2012. We apologise for any inconvenience.
Last updated 13 Apr 2012"
I think there was/will be a map perhaps.
I think their primary focus is to collect properly documented observations of whichever species are on their target list, and provide as much information on those as possible.
I generally use the site to read through the newsletters, there is some really good info, and quite decent research papers in amongst them.

Good thread, I added it to the list of links at the bottom of the hunting forum rules.
If someone can PM me the link to the australian field guide thread I will add that too.

Hmmm I am not sure whether or not to thank you, I once remember you saying that if you wanted to hide top secret information you would do so in the forum rules because nobody reads them.
In all seriousness though, cheers it's muchly appreciated. Hopefully it comes in useful for some folks. I will update it with any new links I find, or any that people let me know about.
I am assuming you are referring to the Aussie field guide thread I started asking for advice on what to buy?
I am compiling a full list of Australian field guides at the moment, I'll do a proper write up and send you the link.
