Losing faith

Do you ever lose belief in what you believed to be true?  I'm not talking about just religion but government, family, the system.  I used to be so sure about a lot of things but now so much is like illusions to be waded through to comprehension and wisdom.

I lost faith in humanity years ago.  I think an asteroid wiping out the human race would be a wonderful thing.

I lost faith in humanity because of the way it behaves.  I'm assuming you were sheltered as a child?  Do you not realize what goes around in the world on a constant basis?  My mental health has nothing to do with how humanity behaves.
