Optimum Weather Conditions for Liberty Caps?

As most of us here in the UK already know, it's nearly that time of year again where we get ourselves out in search of .Psilocybe semilanceata. For me though, this year though is going to prove a greater challenge than most other years since my circumstances have changed dramatically. I've now had to move into the city since finding a job job and my usual spots are just too damn far to justify the drive. So I'm now going to need to be spending a little more time on Google Maps trying to suss out the best places to look.

Since I'm no longer a student, I'm not going to have as many opportunities to go out hunting. So really, every day that I get the chance to go out hunting counts. So on that note, I want to make sure that when I'm heading out, I'm heading out in the best weather conditions. This is where I'm looking for a little advice. What is the best weather conditions?

As it stands, the weather for tomorrow is looking like the following:



Can someone tell me what weather conditions I'm really looking for before heading on out? Unfortunately, there's really no where close by so I'm going to need to be driving a good while before coming across any pastures.

I found the chart using Metcheck which is a UK Weather Forecast website so I can't imagine it applies to anyone else in the world but hey, you did ask! :lol:

Anyone else able to help me out?

Between 10-15C during the day and below 10C at night. Rain is also good.

I heard lots of rain, followed by a day of sun which isnt too scorching, just a bit of light, is the best sort of conditions. and yes, as above, below 10c at night and 15c at day.

The end of the week is when I'm going to start looking. This is just the very start of the season though, it should peak in October, and die off after the first few hard frosts (minor grass frost is OK I think).
