How to tell wet spot in petri?

I'm trying to save a strain I have in a petri dish, I have 5 dishes all with healthy fast growing mycelium. BUT I cultured 10 dishes with different strains and only these 5 from the same master have a gooey runny appearance to the agar. The master has the same appearance now too. It's the same color as the agar except for two dishes that have some slightly tan areas. Any thoughts? Does it sound like wet spot?

A pic would help.
Anyway, controlling contamination in petri dishes is done by applying specific chemicals to treat specific contaminations.
If the master was contaminated and you didn't notice, then you'll probably get many contaminated dishes, select only healthy mycelium from good dishes and work with those, separate the good dishes from bad dishes.
