possibly wet spot?

A friend has a whole whack of pf jars going. He did a mycelium inoculation but no growth for a week. Mycelial growth began, but slowly.

He raised the temperature to ~25C for a few days and then up to ~30C. Shortly thereafter he noticed what looked like condensation on the inside of the jars. This condensation is mostly near the lid and over where the mycelium is growing. The condensation over the mycelia look a little thicker maybe like gelatin (not sure of this).

The mycelium is going crazy, extremely fast colonisation. It doesn't look unhealthy. It doesn't look wet (only the jar is wet outside the growth).

He smelled it a few days ago and thought it maybe had a faint sour smell, but at the time he was sick and his sense of smell wasn't at its best. The time he smelled it since, no smell was noted.

The jars were boiled for an hour. Innoculated in a glove box.

It sounds fine. Condensation is normal in jars.

Wet spot usually at least partially inhibits the growth of mycelium near where it is contaminated.

If there is no smell and the mycellium is growing strong then it is most likely fine. If you really think there is something wrong and you aren't just being a worry wart then seperate it from the other jars.
