Surprisingly I've only had Chic Fil A about 3 times.

I'll probably only have it three more times before I die.

The upheaval about this isn't about what the CEO says, its that he uses a portion of the profits (your money) to donate to anti-gay rights groups.

What gay people aren't seeming to understand (I know a guy who just lost 3 gay friends for eating at chic-fil-a) is that people aren't eating there to hate on gays, they are eating there because they want a chicken sandwich fast, and chic-fil-a happens to serve the best fast food chicken sandwich, and fast.

Do I agree with the president's views? Hell no, but if I'm craving some chicken sandwiches then I'm going to walk my ass in there and get one.

I just don't want to knowingly put my money (indirectly) into a group dedicated to keeping rights from a group of people. Everyone is allowed to do whatever they want, but if you REALLY care about the issue, simply NOT EATING at one fast food place is a pretty small inconvenience, I think anyway.

I'm not going to be eating there regardless because I don't like wasting money on fast food, but my point is that you shouldn't be deemed a gay hater just because you eat there. And yes, I've seen the people surrounding chic-fil-a in pictures and in my town as well, but people that would say I hate gay people because I want a sandwich are overreacting. :shrug:

The only time I've eaten at chic-fil-a just happened to be the day where all the people who oppose gay marrige went there. I didn't know about it and wore my bad religion shirt that had a cross crossed out on it. It was interesting to say the least.

Its not that you hate gay people, you're right, that is overreacting. You just don't care enough, and that's fine really. I don't care enough about a LOT of things, recycling, hunger in africa, etc.

Honestly, I really don't care that much. In my opinion there isn't much to care about, I'm not gay or a radical christian so I guess it just doesn't effect me. But I still think both sides are making way too huge a deal about this.
