Minus the Bear - New Album & Tour!

#16546252 - 07/17/12 06:31 PM (14 years, 2 months ago)

MINUS THE BEAR ANNOUNCES EXTENSIVE
U.S. TOUR AND ALBUM PRE-SALE

Minus the Bear have announced they will embark on an coast-to-coast tour of the U.S. this fall, in support of their highly anticipated studio album, Infinity Overhead, due August 28 on Dangerbird Records.
The extensive 45-date tour will kick off on September 10 in Boise, hit NYC on September 29, Los Angeles on November 9 and culminate with a hometown finale on November 17 in Seattle. The band will also play Riot Fest in Chicago and Austin's Fun Fun Fun Fest along the way. Veteran rockers Cursive will be main support for the entire tour with instrumental post-rock band Caspian opening the first leg and female-fronted indie rockers Girl In A Coma taking over duties for the second leg.

All shows are on sale now and fans who purchase a ticket through the band's site will be sent a free download of a four-song tour EP highlighting all the artists on the tour. The EP features Minus the Bear's new track, "Lonely Gun".

Minus the Bear's fifth full-length, Infinity Overhead, produced by longtime producer and founding member Matt Bayles, is now available for pre-order. Fans who purchase the album in advance at MinusTheBear.com will receive a free instant download of album track "Diamond Lightning," the song featured in the album teaser and in-studio videos.

Minus the Bear fucking rules! I'm hoping to get tickets for their show in the Twin Cities. Even though Varsity Theatre is a little too small and its not standing.

Been a fan since day one. I've met them before, very cool guys.

The first single is very Omni, and not the best they could do, but I'm hoping the other tracks compensate. The torrent leaked for those so inclined.

Edit: The ISOHUNT torrent needs a password, no good.

Used to love those boys.
Highly Refined Pirates to this day is one of my favorites of all times, was my "playlist" for summer going into Soph. year of HS. HA, good memories. I played that album so much.
I think I mighta listened to like one song off whatever came out after Planet of Ice and didn't feel it AT all, so I haven't listened to anything new since. Do like POI though. Their song titles on their earlier shit crack me up to this day.

You all might wanna check out Botch, it's their band before they broke up and formed MTB among others. IDK how to describe it, I guess really hardcore would do it. Like it though - check out their album American Nervoso.
