Haha, yeah, I can't really say it sucks because I can't get into it long enough to listen to the whole damn thing. He's not playing it live though. He's playing Dark Side of the Moon in it's entirety (gag), and then other various songs. I imaginge that the set list will be similar to the In The Flesh tour.

I saw him touring Pros and Cons back in the day and it was fantastic.

Dark Side in full huh? Damn!

Besides the full Pros album, when I saw him he played Set The Controls, Welcome to the Machine and a bunch of other great Floyd songs.

I saw him again on Radio Chaos. That's a kind of underrated record I think. I don't really like his newer one with 'What God Wants' and all that. I know it's supposed to be his back to form record but I just can't get into it.

Dig the Animals sig, btw, that's my fave Floyd record.

Gilmour's new record has some good moments, at least. Some of it kind of blows though.

Shit I thought they were gonna get together for real after that Live 8 thing. They did a good job on that.

I think Rog and Dave should get together with Rick Rubin and make something more stripped down.

Maybe they could get back on form like Page and Plant did on that record No Quarter. Have you heard that one? A real surprise that one.

I'm too young to have seen the Pros or KAOS tour, but I enjoy both records a lot. I haven't listened to either of them in a couple of years probably.

Yeah, the whole Dark Side album apparently. I'd rather h im play Animals, but hell, I'm not sure that Roger could handle it vocally.

On his In The Flesh tour he played stuff off of his solo album Amused to Death, Set The Controls, Pigs on the Wing, Dogs, Shine On, Wish You Were Here, Time, Money, In The Flesh, and many other great Floyd tracks. He also snuck in Every Strangers Eyes from Pros and Cons and on the 99 tour Powers That Be from KAOS. A similar set list would please me, so long as there is something from Animals.

I don't think David is very interested in re forming Floyd anymore. It's sad really. I still have hopes of it happening, but it doesn't look good. David's record is much better live than it is on the studio album. It was pretty incredible.

I never have heard the No Quarter album, but have heard good things about it. I never could really get into Led Zeppelin though.

Yeah, Dogs is cool as hell live. I'd much rather David be playing the guitar solos, but I'll take what I can get. Pigs (Three Different Ones) would be sweet live.

I'll probably check out the Chicago show. I saw him on his In the Flesh tour and thought that was great.

Did you see Gilmour when he was just in Chicago? I saw one of the shows. It was good, but not as good as a Waters show.

I saw that In the Flesh tour 9 times over the two years that he toured. That show was awesome.

Are Water's shows more spectacular than Gilmour's? 'coz that would rock my world upside down

Have you seen the In The Flesh dvd that Waters put out? Gilmours light show was better, but Waters uses a background screen that shows videos and still images on it and it's quite nice. He had this huge sparkling diamond that came down during Shine On that was amazing to see.

I think that my preference for the Water's show is simply because I like Waters more than Gilmour. And Waters played Dogs. I hadn't heard it before I saw it live and it's been my favorite song ever since.

I bet it's quite a powerfull song live, hopefuly he'll play it agan

BTW, I'm sure when you talk about Gilmour's light show you are thinking of "take a breath" or "echoes", am I right?

Yeah, Echoes in particular. It was amazing how they set it up so the light shot out above the crowd from the stage like it did. It was a pretty active light show throughout, but the highlight was certainly with Echoes.

No I didn't. Tickets were too expensive and plus, I've always liked Waters better than Gilmour. While Gilmour is an excellemt guitarist, I see Waters as the mastermind behind Pink Floyd.

I agree, but Pink Floyd being my favorite band I wanted to make sure that I had the chance to see Gilmour live. It's hard telling when him or Waters might just decide to hang it up.

I'm glad that I went because I had a great time. The show was good, but not comparable to a Waters show although getting to see Echoes live at the Gilmour show was a dream come true.
