how much jail time have you done/probation?

just caught myself a second dwi.  sux cause i slept for like 3 hours before hand.  im looking at possibly doing 6 months and 5 years of probation.  pretty much worst case senario and i have a good lawyer so hopefully less.  ive been locked up for 2 weeks at most before.  not so bad.  i tend to get along with all kinds of people.  i just have a knack for communicating with people from all different genres of culture or what have you.  the jail thing im not so concerned about as i am the probation.  just wondering if any shroomerites have done long stints of probation and how it was.  i know its different everywhere and for different things, but, ive heard different accounts on it.  some people say its easy to get away with a toke here and there, or a drink here and there depending on how often u get tested.  some people have told me if u do good for a year they realy start to ease up and even stop piss testing u.  some have told me after x amount of time u only have to call in.  im not even gonna be fucking around, but just curious if anyones got any inkling on it.  i live in ny on long island.  they are pretty bad about the dwi's here as we have dwi related crashes and deaths just about every fucking day these days.  so they are realy cracking down.  my last one was upstate at a festival in 2007.  but if u have one within five years of the last one, its a felony.  my lawyer is gona make sure i dont get a felony, but ill proly have to pay for it with time or probation just so i dont have that charge.  so it goes.....just wondering if anyone has been thru some shit that can give me a heads up.

no shit.  like i said, i thought i was fine.  but i have a high tolerance.  i slept for 3 hours before i drove.  i still blew over the legal limit.  i got stopped at a checkpoint.  but yea, not an advocate of drinking and driving whatsoever.  so i hear ya.

About 8 hours. 

I'd be surprised if you get any jail time, maybe 15 days max.  You'll definitely get probation for 3-5 years.  Everyone I know with multiple dwi's get probation and while it will depend on your P.O., I'd expect check-ins and tests frequent enough to get you in trouble if you try the occasional toke.

I think it will depend you your Probation Officer.
I have heard mixed things from different people concerning the same Probation department.
It really comes down to your own P.O., your county, which also includes there budget funding.
No one here can tell you how your probation will be with any accuracy, just guesses.

I never had surprised drug tests so I always took a few puffs of the bud for a day or two after my UI. Also I wasn't restricted from alcohol, so I just turned into an alcoholic :crazy2:

I have served time in jail on multiple occasions, about 5 months was the longest.
I really didn't have a lot of contact with my P.O. I fucked off to much and was only released from probation because of my last DUI. By the time I went to court for that my 5 year probation term was up, although never released from probation the judge (luckily not looking really deep into my records) just ended my Supervised probation and started a one year court (unsupervised) probation. Never once even paid a fine.

4 months of a weird, not official probation. (long story)

Been arrested twice with very small quantities of weed.

a few weeks in jail, nine years probation afterward without as much as a traffic ticket.

I had a year of unsupervised probation which was a cakewalk for obvious reasons, and then more recently about 7 months of supervised probation.  I was only tested once and they pretty well left me alone but i'm sure that's because i kept out of trouble and did everything i was supposed to do and (probably the biggest factor) payed off my probation fees in full the day i started.  They even gave me a refund for the admin fees i paid for the months i didnt have to attend because they let me go 5 months early.

I've done 90 days in jail and about 9 months of drug court..but I was smoking spice in drug court so it wasnt that bad.

15 days in jail and 5 years probation. All done now. I quite everything but drank like a fish for a while. I smoke a little at the start of probation, but got tired of worrying about going in and being sentenced again. Felt good without weed and still don't do it. Kind of mediocre entertainment I found out.

roughly 50 days jail time, about 2 years probation.

32 hours in jail for an aggravated DWI(well waiting on bail). I have court for it on Wednesday, I'm lookin at maybe another day or 2 in jail and a lot of probation. :sad:

Did 24 hours in jail for a buddy of mine having weed in the car and I get charged for it being in my car. First offense got 3 months misdemeanor diversion program. Got caught with a minuscule amount of weed in a different county not long after and MDP became 6 months drug court and unsupervised probation in the other county which run concurrent. Unfortunately, I was so angry when confronted with the cops that I got a resisting w/o violence charge.

In total, I have to do 13 weeks of anger management, bi-weekly drug tests, weekly support groups, and counseling twice a week. Will be off in September, maybe October. Can't wait.

Damn I've been pretty lucky. Guess most legal shit goes down with people riding under the influence or transporting drugs.
I feel like I got some shroom angle watching over me, with not even a traffic ticket on my record. Sometimes I wonder if drugs are worth all this bullshit.:strokebeard:

i regret that my actions led to me being caught with a schedule 1 substance when i was 19, but it forced me to take responsibility for my life and made a man of me. i forged a successful career out of basically nothing and moved on from it and lived my 20's as a young professional having a lot of fun in spite of having to report monthly. it's been fifteen years since my conviction and it still haunts me when it comes to finding an apartment (in spite of having awesome credit and rental history), and i'm sure it'll be something to work around after i graduate from college, but i can't change the past and i refuse to be kept down by it.

Only done 10 days jail time and 1 year of unsupervised probation.

That 10 days straightened me up quite a bit actually. That shit sucked.
I didn't quit smoking, just got smarter about it.
