Anyone here ever eaten a kangaroo?
    #16300858 -

I was in London a couple of weeks back and I was in this giant market with all kinds of strange foods.  I found this place that sold ostrich meat, kangaroo meat and other weird shit. I decided to try a kangaroo burger and it was delicious. Have any of you ever tried kangaroo or even been to the market I'm talking about?

I tried some kangaroo jerky a few years back....It was probably just the brand but I didn't care for it too much...It was very dry kinda like chewing on leather.......I'm sure a burger is way different than some jerky though......:jah:

I like to ponder the ancient people that would see a new animal and think, "I wonder what that one tastes like..." then go out kill it and eat it.

I don't really like jerky that much. Nothing beats a good steak or burger.

Ive been making these bomb cheeseburgers lately.

Make a patty, then put a mini block of cheese in the middle and put another patty on top making it a double-cheeseburger. When you cook it the cheese in the middle will melt and when you bite into it it will spew cheesy goodness. On the burger i put lettuce, light mayo, crushed red peppers, and another piece of cheese.

MMMMMM

I like to cook onions inside the burger.

I've had kangaroo in a slim jim type sausage before, but I could mostly just taste the spices. I've also had moose and a couple different kinds of grouse that people had shot. The moose was noticeably different from beef but still similar and pretty good, and ruffed grouse was like really good chicken. Spruce grouse is disgusting, it's like clam or something.

I mix onion dip powder in mine. :aweyeah:

I think I had the same kangaroo jerky someone mentioned... they had other crazy animal types like alligator and I forget the rest.

You probably wouldn't like dried squid then, it's basically tastes like a fishy jerky.

Ostrich is delicious. It oddly resembles red meat, but remains quite tender.
