HELP!!! leaving town for a WEEK

i have finally with much help from this site finally birthed a few cakes with many others soon to follow. i have to leave town for 1 week (2 weeks from today). what can i do?

don't birth them. Leave them in their jars until you get back. They're better off sitting in the jars than in a terrarium.

i have heard of refrig them...
they wont die in the jars?

I think they go into hybernation when you put them in the fridge.  There is a post about this somewhere.

This question has been askes several times during the past two weeks. This is the advice I always give:
Don't birth the cakes. Put the jars in the fridge (not in the freezer!!), in order to stall the mycelium. When you come back, put the jars in the incubator for a day or so, and then birth them. As the mycelium is stalled, it may take a few days to re-activate, so pinning will occur a few days later than usual.
