Lepista/Clitocybe Nuda - Melbourne Australia

Can someone please confirm that these are blewits?

Habitat:
Growing in wood matter under ti-trees, eastern suburb of Melbourne.
Gills:
light purple

Stem:
about 6cm high, fairly thick, no ring.

Cap:
5~10cm. more of a purplish-tan-brown

Spore print:
not taken

Bruising:
none noticed

They look like Lepista nuda to me, taking a spore print in this case would make life a lot easier.

What do they smell like?

spore printing on its way. i couldn't really describe the smell beyond "mushroomy", pleasant enough.

I'm interested to see the spore print in this case. The cap and gills look very much like blewits.

well 18 hours later and only a bit of a spore print.



i would describe it as pinkish-cream-beige. Probably should have taken it on foil.

sure looks like C. nuda to me. I find the smell very distinctive, not really that mushroomy but a rather fruity almost floral perfume

yeah, the scent is strange. i read about david arora's description as like frozen OJ, now that exactly what i smell...
