last song sounds like he likes to use Beat Repeat or Microfillz a lot with ableton (if he's using ableton)

big music for me is

the size and epic immersive nature of the musical landscape in my mind
and the sheer quality of every single component

to fully appreciate this stuff you need it in lossless or flac
and a hq sound system
it has serious depth


its beautiful mathematics in action

I think Autechre is just weird and shitty.  My friend is really into them, but I've listened to a lot of their tracks, and for the most part it's just random noise. 


They do have a few good tracks though, like Gantz Graf and Doctrine.

my friend once compared autechre to a magic eye, the deeper you delve the more you find
kind of thing..

but i guess its not for everyone.... i never really truly appreciated this music until i listened to it on acid...
creates awesome visual/mental constructs

Don't forget Confield. I remember hating it years back but recently realized how great it is. Try it again. For the first time.

The first Peel Session is really good too.

I was so happy with Move of Ten. I kind of lost the AE thread a few years before it.
