Must I register Republican to vote in the primaries?

I have already received my voter registration card in the mail and would like to vote in the Republican primaries, which are on May 29th in my state of Texas.  I have not specifically registered Republican.  Do I need to register Republican to vote in this primary?

There is no party registration in Texas; you can just show up and vote. It's just that you can't participate in both parties' primaries in the same election.
