I don't think you quite made your point considering that the current and real crisis in the middle east is still a real threat. Fortunately, Vietnam doesn't have Israel and Jews and Muslims all wanting to obliterate each other with china russia and USA dabbling as well.

no...already, for example, california has more unemployment than the country itself....with more troops comes more unemplpyed people wanting jobs, and if not wanting jobs, living off unemployment...and im aure everyones all fine and dandy about paying for someone else tosit on their ass anddo nothing..
And its not like people are bitching  they can't get jobs already.. ...and that's before the  troops come marching home.

If you pull out all troops at once you get what's commonly described as a clusterfuck.

You have to gradually withdraw the troops to effect a transfer of power to the local authorities.
