i think i found some psilocybe semilanceata

well i found soem tan and bark brown mushrooms i got soem pic on the way and they look like them, i kinda confused about the bruise blue every one talks about, they also might be soem kinda pan it looks like, how am i to go about the gill print thing i hear to us foil,white,black paper. and what am i sup to look for after i do this. i found them in grass right after a rain

there small and i did a print and i did it on white paper and i got a black purple color with gill marks. smooth cap vain stem. pic comeing soon got to get them back from my dude, dry they are tan and stem small and darker tan

it's very rare that Ps. Semilanceata bruises blue. do you have any pictures?

where you handle some species they will turn blue(or another color depends on species) from the oxidation of different chemicals in the mushroom. in active species the color is blue(note that there are other mushrooms which bruise blue like some boletes). but like star said libs usually dont bruise blue. do a search for bluing reaction or something similar and you should be able to find some pics. the spore print color sounds right so you might have some we need pics for confrimation. peace

one thing that i always found helped me was that when you rip apart the cap there will be a snot like goo covering the cap. where are you located at by the way

Alot of libs do bruise blue on the base of the stem. (the ones i find in holland at least)
