Ladies and gentlemen i'm proud to present a brand new mushroom reserve in the middle of the city
" My Front Yard "
We preserve old stumps of trees so mushrooms can live happily and merry for years to come.. Notice the easy access and great parking facilities at the park!

Dead man's fingers living in perfect harmony with some very old Polyporus ..

The park is also very rich in honey fungus atm (Armillaria)

Here seen growing right beside a visitors bike!

They can be found in great numbers growing everywhere in the park after just one little shower of rain. Isn't nature wonderful??

In summer we pull out most of the fresh plants and collect them in big green bins so nitrogen cannot accumulate in the ground. As you can see this is greatly appreciated by the mushrooms!

Weary after a great morning of mushroom hunting you can rest on the park's many resting facilities and literally see the mushrooms appear right under your nose!

Well i hope you enjoyed this short presentation and i hope to see you soon at park " My front Yard"

I was amazed but also a bit saddened to see more mushrooms in my tiny front garden then in the city park and local cemetery combined.
There are many old trees there but i'm afraid the raking and maybe some fertilizer now and then is not good for our little buddies.
Neglect is what they need and i'm pretty good at that

Pretty i think

I think these are some inky caps making an appearance (coprinus)

And the honey fungus clusters getting pretty huge..

I have seen this one resurface in the yard a couple of houses down the block. Its long rhizomorphs enable it to travel pretty far from it's (dead) tree home!
