Your signature works perfectly with those images.

I'd like to drive one at some point, but to own? Hideously impractical. One wouldn't really want to pop by a shop for groceries in something like that.

Then there's the unfortunate realization that you'd never really be able to use it to its full potential on North American roads.

I conclude that it's best saved for a track day, and that I'd really rather have an old Lancia or Alfa Romeo for a day-to-day car; maybe a Jag.

Still, I'd love to get behind the wheel of a Veyron at some point in my life. With depreciation, and life extension science it might just be possible!

I do.

Sure, I'd own one in a heartbeat if it were given to me or had little cost associated; but would you really want to spend 'round two million dollars on something that would just sit around, taunting you with its potential? I'd feel like Orpheus buying a car like that.

Think about how much money you would have to have to be willing to spend 2 mil on a car. A shitload. 2mil probably wouldn't put a dent in your pocket because by the time you bought that car you'd probably have like 10 others.

awesome car but i just think about how many people you could help if you were to donate the money instead. neat exercise in technology but grossly exaggerated use of money

well yea but no one gets to tell you how to spend your money. Plus where do you think that $1mil goes? It goes to pay the people who made the car, the designers, everyone. They all spend that money elsewhere which benefits other industry and so on and so on. It's not like that money went to waste. As if it won't get used by all the people that profit from it.

I don't disagree that giving it away would be more beneficial to others, but it's not like the money is just evaporating after you spend it.

i'm not much of a fan of the bugatti veyron. i know its a top car and all, but it just doesn't have the same supercar pull as some of other supercars. but then again, maybe my opinion of the veyron will change once i get the chance to witness one in person. it's like lamborghini's, when you see them in photos, you don't realize how astounding they are untill you see them in person in comparison to normal cars. lambo's are massive and way larger then any other car, and they just make the most amazing sound. same with ferrari's, when you see them in photos, sure they look nice, but you just don't notice the minute detail of everything on the car untill you really get up close to one and admire all of its craftmanship.

veyron is a beast in top speed,but its a piggy in the handling department.

I'm big on handling,a Ariel atom V8 goes 0-60 in under 3sec.Around a track i think it'll spank the veyron (that is if its full of twisties and not alot of straightways),due to its power to weight ratio it has the same power as a veyron :rockon:
