Cherish Each Moment
    #1574447 -

Cherish each moment!
But must we? Isn't that a lot of pressure. "Oops! I forgot to cherish that nightingale twitter and that fluffy cloud passing by and the guy flipping me off on the freeway and my girlfriend dumping me for the pool guy..."

Carpe diem!
What if I do not want to "sieze the fish"? Can I not let the day slip lazily away without remorse? Must my cup be full to the brim?

Strive for excellence!
Is there anything wrong with a mediocre walk in the park? Do we have to be "on" all the time? Must everything be perfect in thought and deed? Where is the lost voice of the average, the mundane, the also-rans, the flawed?

I am hu-man and that is quite enough, thank you! *Applause from the loser in the back row*

That's a good point but perhaps it is being read too literally. I believe in each of those axioms but I make myself frantic over none of them.

There are times when I Carpe Diem and times when I Carpe Phallus (pull the pud, which is a slang expression for doing nothing).

So, in summary, we should seize and cherish mediocrity?
Sounds like socialism in the works...

hehe
