Interesting.

How are you sure you're getting enough evaporation on the wet bulb?

That fan pointed right at the SGFC makes me cringe.

Seems easier to just get one decent digital humidity meter and test it to see how accurate.

I already had the thermometers so all I had to spend was $1 on a piece of fabric.  It was faster and cheaper than a new digital hygrometer.

Once the temp on the wet bulb stops dropping you know you have reached the dew point and evaporation has leveled out.  This is what makes psychrometer work.

As far as the fan goes, I put it there because because the water from my coolmist and ultrasonic was kind of pooling in the bottom, so I wanted to spread the vapor.  Why is it so bad to have it so near my SGFC?

It's normally bad to have a fan by your shotgun chamber because it dries out the perlite way too fast.  It also circulates contaminants.

Normal convection currents are all that's needed for the standard SGFC with holes on all six sides.

You've got humidifiers going so it probably doesn't affect you as much.

using a properly built sgfc u don't need to check rh.

the only thing it offers is reassurance that an
SGFC is the shit at creating ideal growing
environments

fresh air exchange is the crux of your success, so you would want to measure CO2 levels if anything at all

The RH is really more for the Martha.  I have a few cased trays in there too.  I just tossed the SGFC in there to keep everything together.  The SGFC was in use before I finished my Martha.
