I made some Thai red lentil chili last night.  Bomb.  Completely vegetarian too... not that I am one, but it tasted amazing nonetheless...

Zwiebelkuche -- you thinking of Flammkuchen, which is actually pretty damned delicious?  More of an Alsatian (French) thing, though.

Liebewurst 'is not a thing,' as far as I know. Leberwurst is like extra-thick boloney and nothing I'd ever care to eat.  'Liebewurst' translates to "love sausage" -- I have yet to hear the word even in bad German porn (as if there were such a thing as good German porn).

Beanhead, you have much moule et frites where you live?  That's some damned worthy street food.  Also like kebab.  That weird fried sausage thing in the too-small plastic container?  Dunno about that one...

I'm actually an American and no longer live in Berlin.  Am now off to the farmer's market, where I'll but a chicken mole negro tamale from an Oaxacan (Mexican) vendor.  That's some good stuff

Oaxacan is some damned fine cuisine!

God damn I loved the food in Germany. Had some of the best meals I've ever had there, just in some random gasthaus.

My favorite cuisine.. probably Indian. Or Vietnamese. I'm torn!

My least favorite.. French. I couldn't stand the food there :frown:

Yeah mussels and fries are awesome. I know the random "frietkot" reference to Belgian cuisine isn't the best, but we aren't notorious for a lot of delight cuisine :shrug: . Mussels however are :thumbup:

When I think of zwiebelkuchen I imagine "oniondough" much in reference to pizza dough... which I prefer :tongue2:

Leberwurst is nice. Much like liver (in a pan with some onions:drooling:) , paté and anything like that.

That chicken sounds nice, cool that you have moved to yet another country :shocked:. Sorry to be so swift of judgement: !
