It's not typical for them to bruise blue when fresh, but when dry the inner part of the stem and the cap turn dark black/purple.

I finally saw a blueing reaction on a fresh mature cluster that was as intense as the  blueing reaction in Psilocybe cubensis, but that was only in one or two clusters out of 50+.

When I picked mine, a pin bruised a silvery blue on the stipe. I didn't observe it long as it went in my mouth.

The rest bruised that reddish orange to brown most commonly seen. Not my pic.
