hmmmmm. It's a tough call. the stems look right, but the partial veil color is a little off, if you said the color was off then I'd say yes, but the way it sits now I'm thinking heboloma, the rings of a gym would be this color orange

here I adjusted the color and I would say yes, a gymnopilus. In the "Big laughing Gym" group, G. spectabilis or G. validipes

They look like a gymnopilus species, not hebeloma. Look at the somewhat scaled caps. The substrate is a bit odd though; are there wood chips or lots of wood debris buried there? I would expect a cluster like this attached to a stump or the base of a tree.

I found a bunch of clumps, coming out of the ground from buried roots this was one. OP give them a little nibble, are they bitter?

It's a Gym. You can see the orange annular spore deposits. The second picture of yours is much closer to the color of it under natural light.

Looks like G. junonius to me.

South Carolina. G. junonius seldom blue anyways to my knowledge. I'm thinking they're active.
