5 string Banjo, i want it so bad need advice

i really really want to start playing

my action plan is to buy pete seegers how to play banjo manual
then get a banjo (difficult part seeing i have no money)
start practicing

i want a (idk its actual "name") pete seeger long necck 5 string

the fat stubby banjos are displeasing to me and the low notes that can be obtained on a longer neck is awesome

are there any banjo players out there that can give me some wisdom advice and good practice tips

also is there any way, or things i should be doing, to practice and learn without a banjo. then i get banjo and begin practice on it:toast:

Why on earth someone would want that as their instrument of choice is beyond me :shrug: But then again I guess thats what makes us all unique :rockon:

Find a beginner book and buy a cheap banjo i guess.....couldnt hurt

5 string banjo kicks ass man i wouldnt even play to much "bluegrass"
id start off with PRIMUS, because they suck

the pete seeger how to play banjo is gospel for beginners

i just want to start practicing with out forking over 100- 500 dolla

and unique is awesome:toast:
