To avoid another iphone and android debate I will withhold explaining the million reasons why android is better. Besides, logic and reason is not something accepted by the iphone fan, they will blindly love their basic, one dimensional device.

Example, I asked an iphone friend to show me his new slide down notification panel. After showing me I showed him that my two year old droid has the same thing. He replied apple does it better. It's this kind of arrogance that comes with a blind iphone fan that will never allow them to accept anything else but their old outdated, one dimensional device

You're hilarious dude.  You're as blind of an Android fanboy as your friend is for his iPhone.

1) Android and iOS both have ups and downs.  Android is NOT unanimously better than iOS.  They both do some things better than the other.  For example, Siri is really fucking cool.  Android has nothing that can touch it at the moment.

2) The Galaxy Nexus is a far slicker device than the Moto Droid RAZR, plus the RAZR is going to come that piece of shit Moto Blur skin on it, which ruins Android, and delays updates by MONTHS due to having to wait on the manufacturer.

My wife has an iphone, I use it every once in a while and every time I use it I question why it's popular. I give it a fair shot.

Androids voice system works well, it's not as gay as siri because you can't say stupid shit like siri do you love me or where can I hide a body. But you can  do many other voice commands like make a note, send text, navigate, call, listen to (music), go to (website), map, send email

The nexus is awesome because of ice cream sandwich, I'll give you that but ics has bugs to iron out. Motorola's hardware is far superior and blur is not what it used to be, it's a very light ui, not like how it started.

I understand that Android has voice commands.  Siri is not a voice command system.  It can answer virtually any question you ask it, will use your GPS to set reminders for you ("Remind me about X when I get home"), etc.  Don't even pretend Android's voice command system TOUCHES it.

A jailbroken iPhone is a very capable device, and iOS runs smoother (read: no lag, ever) than Android.  Maybe Android will be better with ICS and dual core processors, but I have yet to see an Android device that doesn't have lag pretty much all over the place.  Even the most recent Google dev phone (before the Nexus Galaxy) the Nexus S lags like a motherfucker.

And I'm no iOS fanboy - my next phone will probably be the Galaxy Nexus, but don't pretend Android doesn't have its flaws just as much as iOS.

Additionally, even if Blur fucks with Android less than it used to, it still means waiting months on updates because you're not dependent on Google, you're dependent on Moto.

K siri is better, noted. But in a list of features I'd take 4g over it

My droid x runs very smooth, no lags and has gingerbread which is way better than other android devices that have heavy ui's running 2.2...I'd like to have plain vanilla android but I don't think any device but the nexus has it, moto is closest to plain vanilla. I'm not huge fan of samsung though, their hardware seems cheap and voice quality seems to be crap

I've played with my friend's Nexus S, doesn't feel cheap to me :shrug:.  To each their own though.  I'm probably going to end up getting a Galaxy Nexus (hopefully unlocked) and go to WIND, because Rogers needs to suck a fucking dick and die.  Same goes for Telus and Bell.  We need some options up here in Canada.

I used to think the same until I got a droid tablet.  I have an iPhone 4 but I'm looking to get an android phone soon.

Wise up and do some research.  Other than going great with your v-neck and scarf at Starbucks, android >>>> iOS.
