A quick tip!
    #1521998 - 05/05/03 03:55 PM (13 years, 10 months ago)

Had a quart jar of WBS fully colonized, PC'ed 5 more and wanted to do a transfer.

Last time i did lost 50 % to contams..... This time however. 100 % success.

I filled a small glass with peroxide ( 3 % undiluted ) and cleaned a spoon with lysol, wiped it down and dropped into peroxide ( H2o2 for those who will post.. duh... what's h202 mean??? .. it's the same as peroxide )

anyway..

unscrew lids, leav on. and spray the air with lysol, put nose under shirt, take spoon, coated in h2o2, and scoop colonized grain, put cover back on quickly, and drop into new jar. ( move quickly!! ) and dip spoon back in h2o2.

move on to next jar.

so far so good!!

hope it helps someone.

I attach a garbage bag to the output on my hepa filter and cut two armholes in it. Makes a nice ghetto flowhood to work in. So far 50 transfers and I have not lost any of them.

Try hooking a trashbag up to it man. It's easy, cheap, and effective. I don't even bother working quickly and I have absolutely no problems.
