Boyfriend Doesn't Approve that I've Started Stripping * 3
    #15208222 -

I have entered the sex industry (yet again), and have decided to become a stripper. I made the audition and am dancing at 2 clubs now; 1 is pretty high-end, and the other a smaller fully nude club. The owner is this flirty but intelligent Romanian guy, who seems to have taken a special liking to me for some reason. Everybody at the club was sort of marveling at how fond he was of me.

Everybody at the club was busting their assess off cracking up, dying of laughter when I was telling them my background.
"Where did you work before?"
-"Um, I was a writer for a human rights group."
"BWAAAAAAHHAHAAHAHAHAAHAHA... oh .... um... really? So what kind of stuff did you write?"
-"We focus on human rights violations in Southeast Asia. For our latest project we corresponded with famous figures such as Nelson Mandela and Noam Chomsky to nominate lese majeste victims in Thailand for the Nobel Peace Prize."
"Hurhurrr.. okay haha... whatever. So what do you study?"
-"I just finished my bachelors degree in political science."
"So why do you want to be a stripper? Are you okay being nude in front of people?"
-"I was a nude model before. I feel incredibly comfortable in my own skin. Government work is pretty mundane. I need some excitement in my life."

I really should have told the truth: "Well hey, I've got to fund my exorbitant drug habit somehow."

I'm pretty sure (given their reaction), they thought I was lying about my history and making everything up.

Unfortunately, my boyfriend was not okay with it, and made me choose between him and stripping. I chose stripping. He can't tell me what to do, he doesn't pay for my fucking bills.

I got him to agree to keep having sex with me (no strings attached), which I'm satisfied with, because... well... that's pretty much all that he was good for anyway.  I knew it wouldn't last because he was way too socially and politically conservative for my tastes and spewing the dumbest bullshit at all times.

He'd always be like, "I hate that gays can now be open in the military... DADT needs to go back into effect... bla bla... I hate female marines, I don't even consider them to be real marines. They can't do half the shit that we do and they always take advantage of the fact that they're female to get out of doing work. I fucking hate homeless people, they're the scum of the earth. God, I hate drug addicts. They just leech off our system and make babies. In the marines, we call people who test positive for drugs shitbags. You know why? Because they don't give a shit about anything anymore!"

I never felt like getting in an argument so I'd always tune out whenever he went on one of his rants and just focus on how hot he was. Then I'd just say, "Just shut up and fuck me." :minigun:

If I actually loved the guy and thought we had even a remote chance of long-term potential, I would give up the job for him. But when he says dumb, judgmental shit about homeless people, drug addicts, and slut-shames women all the time, it makes me realize that I will never be able to share my past or my true identity to him. He has no idea that he's been dating a fucking SLUTTY-ASS JUNKIE who spent her summer in rehab and then homeless.

Plus, since he is going to be deployed in February for 6 months in Afghanistan............. yeaaaaa, I just don't see things working out between us. I have a sex drive, and my sex drive has never stopped simply because my boyfriends were incarcerated in the state pen, hospitalized in rehab, or deployed overseas.

It's pretty funny. When he said that if I chose stripping he wouldn't stay with me, the first and only thing I said was, "You're uh... still going to have sex with me, right?" That's all we ever do anyway. It's not like the relationship dynamic is going to change just because the "girlfriend/boyfriend" label isn't attached to it anymore. Ridiculous.

I gotta figure something out with my stripping schedule though... there's no way I can dance for 7 hours straight. Not when I start going into withdrawal during the 4th hour. Maybe I'll start bringing little capsules I can stick up my ass in the corner any time. :bored:

I'm not a terribly great dancer either. I thought I was, but I can't even do a single pole trick! And man I am out of shape. I need to learn me some of these moves:

Cool story, err...bro  No seriously, I like that job interview passage; yeah, they obviously didn't buy any of that - for starters because they probably didn't have a fucking clue what you were on about  Your now ex-boyfriend sounds like a royal douchebag btw. What a moron. But hey, each to his own.

Oh, and his favorite show is Jersey Shore.

NUFF SAID.

Boy, I tell you... younger guys come with their perks... Harder bodies, harder dicks, long-lasting stamina, high sex drive... but they also come with their downsides. They are focused on trivial "partying," less maturity, and less life experience, which means they are eager to make snap judgments particularly about sexuality.

Now I'm wondering when and how much of my history I should admit to him. Before he was always so judgmental of homeless people, drug addicts, and promiscuous women, that I couldn't ever share my true identity or past to him. But now that I've got nothing to lose, I'm sort of eager to cook up a shot right in front of him after we fuck, just to watch him go apeshit and freak the fuck out about AIDS. I don't know why, but I love spooking ultra-conservative guys I've dated like this. It's almost like being a tranny and then shouting out "TRANNY SURPRISE!" and whipping your dick out to homophobic guys you've been hooking up with. He obviously has no idea he's been dating a formerly homeless junkie slut this whole time, and I'm intent on crushing his perfect fantasy of me.

One of these days, you'll run into that slender, intelligent, mature 30-year old with a healthy interest in sex and a sunny disposition. Don't worry about it.

It depends on what you want to achieve. It sounds to me that your plan/intention would serve one ulterior motive: to prove to this guy that his world view is wrong. Personally, I wouldn't choose that route. Why not? Because I don't think his views are wrong, per se, just as yours aren't wrong either. They're not mutually exclusive: they are different ways of reflecting on the same reality. And one is not inherently better than the other. So I'd be inclined to live and let live, and let him go (or have sex with him for a bit while it's still fun). But if you insist and you want to change the way he views the world, or at least confront his views with a contrasting vision, then why not organize a little tour of the town for him? Take him to the places you've slept, the homeless shelter, the alleys you used to shoot up or whatever - kind of show him the lifestyle a bit. He'll probably freak out at some point

excellent post... you're awesome... i became good friends with a dancer... her name was Kerry... she would always come sit with me and bullshit when she was off shift... one day out of the blue she asked me to come live with her(she knew i was at a rough point in my life)... she was a zen buddhist, loved literature(she studied literature in college), adored nature, loved all types of music and cared about what was really happening in the world among many other things... she was also a heroin addict... she shot me up for my very first time... it was fucking awesome!!! shortly after moving in she sat me down one evening simply said she wanted to have a sexual relationship with me but didn't want any emotional baggage that might come with it... she asked me if i was cool with that... i said it wouldn't be a problem for me(although to be honest, i did have some feelings for her at that point... i just kept it to myself)... like yourself she loved to fuck and in every way, it was a very intense sexual relationship... she had absolutely no hangups...

about four months after moving in with her she hadn't returned home one evening and i was beginning to worry... i was wondering what the fuck was going on, it wasn't like her... it turned out she and another girl accidentally overdosed together in a hotel room... the cleaning personnel found both of them in bed the following morning...

i had fallen in love with her even though she didn't want me to... to this day i find myself thinking about her...

almost from the very beginning of me moving in with her she began encouraging me to consider giving college a shot... from time to time she would bring it up again... i guess it was her way of insuring it sank in... she felt it would do me good... i eventually enrolled at rutgers as a biology major... i was able to maintain a high grade point average but my interest only lasted for about two years before i decided it really wasn't for me and decided to drop out... i immediately enrolled in a tech program for HVAC/R... best move of my life... i'm sure Kerry is happy with me...

nothing for nothing but your boyfriend sounds like a real asshole... we need less people like him in this world... the dick must be good, that's all i have to say... just sayin'

Im glad i no longer do...

In all honesty, G, IMO there is really no way for you to be in a productive committed normal relationship with anyone at this point in your life...

With addictions, they always come first... and even when you find someone that can understand your addictions (likely because of their own) the best you can really shoot for is a commiserating codependency... and those things Never end well

Thats about the worse thing I have heard a person say in.... months?

I was right, I have dated a girl just like you... and it was one of the single worse experiences of my life. It actually pushed me to a very dark place... being deceived and lied to by someone I thought I loved......

I mean, i do appreciate being able to understand your point of view, which you are very open and up front about here. and to some extent it does help me deal with some of my own past issues and relationships knowing that, in fact, there are people out there who's sole intention is to lie and deceive their significant other to their own ends...

But on a personal level... I really think that what you do , despite being fueled by addiction, just makes you.... a horrible person.

I don't do it to intentionally manipulate the other person. I just want the other person to see me for who I am and give them a genuine chance to know the "real" me; sans lifestyle choices. There's so many great aspects to me that are going to be overlooked and tossed aside if my lover knows about my seedy past. I don't want to be labeled as some sex-fiend junkie, when my persona has much more depth to it than that. They don't need to be constantly reminded of my past and having trust issues each time they look at me.

And yes, I too have dated drug users, just like you, and they were all the worst experiences of my life. That's why I have vowed to stay the hell away from them.
