im about to order 8 oz. of mo'i hawaiian kava for about 17 dollars. Is that a pretty fair price? ive heard kava is supposed to be really relaxing, which is exactly what im looking for. how many normal-strong doses can i get out of 8 oz? thanks    :grin: :grin:

Be careful with kava kava, the FDA has linked it to liver damage. At moderate doses you should be fine though.

I thought that only kava extracts had been linked. I found that kava was one of those things that did very little for me the first few times, then the third time my legs were like lead.

More or less. But it is quite pronounced once you get it right. Great stuff for reading a book. Kava is one of my favorite drugs actually.

do you have a recipe that youd recommend? like how many tablespoons per cup? another quick question....i ve been reading that it could potentially be bad for your liver.....could you smoke kava and get the same effects?

Try Murples kava recipe on Erowid, it works great. I use 100 ml of kava, 1/3 milk (3 % fat) and 2/3 water. The liver damage concerns are worrysome, so dont over do it... and some milk thistle just in case isn?t a bad idea either. And no, kava isn't smokable.

My liver was smashed into five pieces and is now back in one piece. Should I worrie about taking kava? I already take milk thistel.
