I don't think so,, looks abit like a scots thistle but i'm not 100%.

word your right i think Onopordum acanthium o well its suppose to be good for cancers and ulcers ill use it in ayahuasca

Some of them look similar. Milk thistle has light green/white markings on its leaves,, .
I think that's why they call it 'milk thistle'. Not certain though.

well im going on how thorny it was i had to use aonther plant to bundle what i colected. very very thorny but yeah bull thistle is deffanitly it i would say looking at the bull thisle its 100% that thanks

turns out my dad's friend has rheumatism in her back i know its for rheumatic joints but im sure it will help with the back

Bull thistle is a diuretic, they deplete potassium so a potassium supplement or plenty of potassium containing veg might be helpful.. Might not be needed though, i don't know how good it's diuretic properties are..
I remember reading ages ago that Dandelion is one of the best diuretics because the leaves already contain alot of potassium...
I know your treating back pain and not water retention though,, 
Hope she feels better soon.
