Ethereal Dialpad.

You will thank me.

Especially when you realize you can put your mouth over the speaker like a harmonica kinda.

Shit's amazing.

The basic "must haves" include:  google sky, any barcode scanner, handcent SMS, open table, layar enhanced reality browser, and angry birds.

Others will follow, I got a Nexus S on the way this week...

...the whole experience is (and is as) a profound piece of knowledge.  It is an indellible experience; it is forever known.  I have known myself in a way I doubt I would have ever occurred except as it did.

LauncherPro (Must-have)
AlarmDroid
Where's My Droid
Flashlight
Google Voice (Must-have)
Flixter
Voice Recorder (very handy for slyly recording conversations with people.  Like at my work I have a manager that HATES me so every time he pulls me aside to talk to me I'm recording the convo just in case!)
TipNSplit
Moonphase
OI Shopping List (better than the memo app that comes with it)
RingDroid
Weatherbug

Games I play Paradise Island and Moonchaser right now.  Words With Friends and Blastmonkey are the shit, too.

Generally referred to as rooting on Android, not jailbreaking as is the case in iOS.

All of these are free, and free of problems:

SoundHound, if like knowing what music is playing at the current time.  I fucking love the shit out that one.

Bubblelevel, if you need to level shit.

ScannerRadio, Streaming of local police and Fire/EMS radio(cb).

TuneInRadio, for streaming of live radio stations from all over the world

Pandora, listen to free music

Google Maps..

GasBuddy, find the cheapest gas in town, I recommend creating an account and reporting prices yourself as well.
