It's a dark, dystopian future where all the restaurants are Chinese and nary a taco truck in sight.

These fucking pigs are trying to do away with all that is holy and good in our fine country! TO ARMS!

those eggs are your only real source of complete protiens, if you ate nothing
but vegan and eggs on occasion, say once a week you'd be pretty healthy,
without the eggs on a strict vegan diet, you wouldnt notice for some years

Funny around where I live there are over 25 Mexican restaurants(including 4 or 5 fast food joints), and I can only think of 4 Chinese restaurants. All the Chinese food sucks in Southern Oregon. Luckily there are some great Thai food as well a Japanese and now a Korean place which I have yet to try.

Taco trucks kick ass, but they don't have em near me.

Cheese is another source of complete protein, and I eat a lot of it.  Combined with complimentary proteins, I'll be fine.  Mushrooms, black beans, and brown rice together make a complete protein.

And since I don't have to worry about the estrogen, I can eat soy as well.  I generally prefer other things, but I eat it sometimes.  I quite like fried tofu.

derp... cheese, I feel crunchy now

the few times I've had tofu it was prepared by dumbasses with no cooking skill, imagine the stuff cooked in worcestershire sauce

I should mention complete proteins to my vegan friend before she snaps like a twig.

Tofu marinated in sesame oil (a favorite of mine, if you haven't noticed), habaneros, and curry powder.  Fried very hot until the outside gets a nice crunchy caramalization on it.  Nice and crispy on the outside and soft and buttery on the inside.  Heavenly.

I'd love to hear your opposition to fish (no not that type)

ahahahahaha, nice.

Fish is actually the only meat I miss.  Maybe I'll eat it again one day.  Many fisheries really devistate the ocean, and most of the large fish are at 10% of their previous population.  But there are enviornmentally friendly fish, and farm raised fish, that I'm not morally opposed to eating.  I guess at this point, after so many years, it's just the thought of actually eating flesh that kinda makes my skin crawl.  Wouldn't feel much different than eating my dog or another person.  It's flesh.

You can go ahead and eat what you want though.  My choices and my reasons are for myself.

I love it! Thanks! I would probably still like Japanese food all the same. I will visit there one day. I am fascinated by Japanese culture. I must see a live sumo show.:smirk:
