Marinate the salami in the wine, then put it between two slices of salami which are not marinated. Badda-bing, badda-boom.

Most Chinese restaurants are horrible, use the same menu, cook with lard and msg, etc.

The only GOOD Chinese restaurant Ive eaten at ironically was owned by a man from Taiwan who had a white staff and was in bumfuck Montana.

The Chinese are infamous for being hustlers and using sub-par ingredients/materials/etc,

Is the lard that shitty stuff used for fries? In every place I ate fries at on one block, not all Chinese, the fries were greasy and, uh, bumpy?

In a town near mine where a lot of Asians live, I was counting the banks in my view, I saw FOUR. There's more very near them too. A couple of American banks run by Asians or whatever called WOORI. Not that I care, mentioning them because it relates to Chinese/Asians having a lot of the same places near each other.

Lard is a thick white animal fat used in soul food restaurants, fried food found in ghettos, fairs, circuses, drive-in movie theaters,"traditional" Mexican, Americanized Chinese and po-dunk redneck restaurants in one stop light towns.

You used to find it in most fast food but there has been a move to switch to "healthier" oils which really arent healthy at all.

In England, they use lard right. Gregg's uses it to bake sausage rolls... good Lord... :homerdrool:

I ate pretty much nothing else last time I was there. As you might imagine, I felt pretty shitty by the time I came home.

I've got to agree, Some chinese places are ok but I think op is talking about those dime a doezen bullshit buffet places. Every one of these places seem to have the same shit. like it was all mass produced in some shit hole factory.

Immitation crabmeat with melted cheese on top of it is not good food. And the shitty wok always has the worst sushi imaginable.

British food is about the only kind I can think of that's even worse than Chinese.

i gotta make an awesome sandwich... but how?

My favorite sandwich is actually on a bagel.  With toasted sesame oil spread on it.  Makes it toast up really nice and crispy.  And brie.  The brie gets this awesome nutty flavor when it's toasted.  With shiitake sauteed in butter, tomato, spinach, onion, and scotch bonnet pepper sauce.

Especially good for breakfast.

Haha, I know exactly what you mean.  Since I moved into the city, I get a new chinese menu every day.  They're all exactly the same.  Same menu items, even the same pictures.  Just different names, numbers, and addresses.

Where I used to live though, they had this little run down hole in the wall with like 2 people that worked there and a flickering sign that just said "China."  No one spoke english, so it was hard to get your order in, but it was worth it.  The food was fucking amazing.

it's the same deal with the Mexican restaurants around here. Both them and the Chinese places have the same mass produced menu, same font, same text color, everything as all the other restaurants of the same type.

I did actually have some good Chinese in Chicago's China Town but it's a gamble...many of the restaurants had the mass produced menu, lard, same pictures on the wall, etc.

I don't have a problem with vegetarian dishes, so long as I get my dairy and eggs.

Vegans... I don't understand. I mean, that's just anal-retentive, and furthermore it devalues the existence of plants to claim that only they are good for eating.

meh, it's a decision that one makes for their own piece of mind, not necessarily for their well-being.

i like vegetarian food for precluding freshness and quality above the market standard, as it's required for that "particular" type of food to be ANY GOOD at all.

hence, usually vegan or vegetarian is not only better for you (in the long run) but also just fresher tasting.

you can have a fresh incrediants on a burger though and it makes all the difference in the world (fresh buns ect...)

:drooling:

Hmmm, I never looked at veganism or vegetarianism as a strictly occasional culinary choice... :strokebeard:

I just know this one vegan girl... we're great friends, but she has a hissy fit whenever she sees or hears of me eating meat, eggs, or dairy. I'm like  :zomgwtf: LEAVE ME AND MY TASTY FOOD ALONE

well, that's the downside... of having merely superfluous reasons for choosing vegetarianism. such as "helping animal wellbeing"

(which animals don't care about... well they hate pain... but as long as that is taken care of there really is no reason to believe they'd be thinking about how they're are going to the slaughter. they really don't think that way, they are lower mammalian brains... they don't sense themselves like that... they have not the intelligence.)

its all the same bullshit sugary salty fried nonsense that would make any real chinese person cringe. General Tsos, Seaseme chikcen blah blah blah its all fucking gross and should hardly be considered chinese. 'Chinese' Food, hehe it should be a legal requirement to put it in qoutes.
