He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings, as something separated from the rest--a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circles of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty."

How many fruiting chambers do you run? If you're currently running bulk in rubbermaids, just some PVC piping and some rubber tubing, running from a cool mist to the rubbermaids works well.
If you're looking to build something semi-complex, I would check out some of those little greenhouse tarped shelves, or maybe one of the antonius setups that anno runs, with a cool mist inside. Roadkill and Anno both use them, you can probably find pics in some of their past posts.
Basically a timed cool mist will help any setup, I would go the distance and use one of those tarped shelves, with the cool mist in it. They seem to own.

My friend and I attepmted to build A terrarium resembling Anno's. We used PVC pipe, to build a frame, and wrapped in in Painters dropcloth plastic. The problem we ran into was keeping the RH above about 65-74% with a cool mist. We were pretty sure that was because the dropcloth was to permeable, so we redesigned a plexiglass chamber that was much smaller, this is working better. I think our idea was sound though, if you just used some heavier plastic for the sides, and it only cost 20$, and that includes the saw I had to buy ;].

My terrarium is just a 55 gallon aquarium with 2 zoomed heaters on the bottom (one each side) each with a thermostat control. The 2 15 watt light spaces at the top have blue actinic lights (peaking at 480 nanometers). I put a 5 inch layer of perlite in the bottom and "soak" with water. I've also wrapped the entire aquarium with insulation that is metallic (the home stores out there sell it in rolls) for better light exposure. Using plexiglass I made a drip shield. I have a hygrometer just under the drip shield and the"outdoor" measurement device from an "indoor outdoor' thermometer. I know it's a bit pricey, but I think it works great. also, anything thats plastic doesn't, per se, keep out nasty infections. also again, glass is very easy to clean/sterilize (i use a 9:1 water:bleach to clean everything, then I wipe the glass with 91% isoprophyl alcohol). Also, make sure you clean the plexiglass. If you really want to, you can apply rain-x to the plexiglass so you get less light diffusion, tho it's never been an issue for me. hope this helps
BTW, with the perlite on the bottom and the heaters directly underneath, humidity isn't a problem. I saw an ultrasonic humidifier in a catalog tha talso had a thermostat, it'd be great to always have 85 degree moisture in the terrarium, (or 70, whatever :-)

I have a rubbermaid container with a piece of custom made glass to cover the top. I used a tiny bit of vaseline on the glass to resist drip. For air exchange, I have an Aquatics bubbler and two holes about an inch and half in diameter are drilled into one side of the rubbermaid container. I filled the holes with something called Polly Fill (it's like polyester) for a decent filtering system. The container is filled with perlite (try finding geolite on ebay or something) at the bottom. Be sure to boil your perlite and let it cool for sterilization purposes when you put your project together. I have a heating pad, a flourescent grow light, and the Aquatics bubbler all on seperate timers. I use GE 24hr timers. All of this stuff is hidden in one big Sterilite container, I'm not sure of the specs on it. I cannot wait to post pics for you guys. I've had wonderful results for a stealth set up of this size. All I lack is a digital cam.

I just use a 10 gal aquarium. 2inches of perlite and 1/2 inch of water/hydrogen peroxide works wonders (about 4 cups of water 1 of h202). The Rh is a steady 98%, it can be adjusted by the addition of water or cracking of the lid. I have a 15" Aquarium hood with the standard light on it. For some reason though I'm not getting any pins after over 2 weeks, but i have the feeling that isn't related to my aquarium.

Oh I forgot, I have a radioshack (i know i hate them too) indoor/outdoor thermo hygrometer setup. It's accurate to within 1% RH pretty much (via my own tests) and is only 60 bucks. It's wireless so you can check the RH and temp without even being near your terrarium, it's great.

A cool mist humidifer is always a good investment! I picked mine up for $15 including S&H (Vicks Natural Mist, the blue-container one) on www.ebay.com

This may be a dumb question but what is the condenser used for. I also have no luck with a cool mist. It dries my substrate out and always goes from 80 to 70 when it's on.
