I bet my tubs are quite a bit smaller than yours also

Rr said pasteurization "takes care of it.".
As in, microbial growth is slowed and your healthy myc takes over. 
This is the basis of pasteurizing before spawning.
Where do trichoderma and mold spores come from?
The air you're breathing 24/7.
It's covered to begin with, no way to avoid it.

I think we can all agree that regardless it really isn't worth it to buy coir blocks that have purposely been infected with trich...?  I mean, maybe pasteurization takes care of it, but seems like you would want to give yourself the best odds possible, and all you have to do is drive to a pet store to find proper blocks (I know the hydro shop coir you speak of, no trich but many many fibers)- last time I checked pet stores were more numerous than hyrdo shops haha.  you just have to dodge the occasional conversation about your "reptile"...
