Death
    #1475261 - 04/20/03 12:14 AM (21 years, 2 days ago)

I found out today that a girl from my school died in a car accident, I tell myself this shouldn't bother me, people die all the time and I didn't really know her that well. But it's too weird to think that her body is somewhere cold and lifeless and she'll never talk or breathe or play another game of basketball (I understand she was good) and she was a senior, she didn't even get to finish high school, and it's like I still don't believe she's dead
I guess this is just one of those things that make you realize how fragile life is and make you appreciate being alive, no?

Death is no easy buisness, especially since we know so little about its "after effects" , like whether our souls continune to live, or maybe we stat living from the begining as a new form of being, or maybe we got the heaven\hell.. hehe
What matters is to accept death as the most natural part in a man's life, we mustnt hide it, we just need to deal with it.
when a woman is pregnant, everyone is really excited about the new life which is about to enter this world, but when some1s dying, he usually does it in hospitlas or in his own home, hiding in his "solitary shell". Usually when we hear about some1 that we know who suffers from a hard desease, we rather avoid seeing him becuz were not sure of what we'll tell him.. or whether we'll know the right way to react.
anyhow, its perfectly okay to be sad that this girl died, its sad to lose our relatives or just to know that some1 we somehow knew, isnt with us anymore.
but after all, death is just a part of our life.

If anything she's probably been freed. Nothing really ends, and nothing really begins. All there is, is the constant transferrance of energies from one form to another. Since this is true for physical things, it is possibly true for abstract things, such as "souls". Every exit is an entry someplace else. What that someplace is, we'll probably never know, and if someone did find out, they wouldnt remember it after stepping through "the door", just as no one remembers it after being born in this life.

Peace

a count of 7 times of the word 'IS' in just 4 sentences on a topic ppl including me  have been contemplating about since the creation of consciousness. You seem to be pretty sure of your case, so please tell me how you have gained this wisdom no man has in the past millennia ?? :ooo:

and damn it, if it are those big-eyed grey folks again, ask them why they never stop by here!! I want to check if they have some good ol' fashioned alien-porn stashed somewhere in the back of their ship. Tell them i offer peace and pot in return

but seriously, perhaps it was mere a bad choice of forming sentences, but in any case i advise you and anybody else to always keep a healty doubt in all views on life, including your owns...

regards,

PS. damn it, i totally misread your entire message. You clearly use the word 'probably' and 'could' all of the time, and my noble warning is totally not applicable to your person. Just got a 4-hour drive behind me, and i guess its just all a bit blurry right now. All good to you my friend and don't hold this piece of crap against me please

PS2 I actually like your view on this one...

The possibilities and probablilities are endless. There may not even be a "true" answer, as every perspective justifies what they experience differently. One man might experience a heaven, because he believes there is one, while another might experience it as something else, because he believes differently. It's all relative.

PPPSSS76. They are out of Alien porn. They gave me great wisdom to make up for it. What a ripoff! =)

Nothing really ends, and nothing really begins.

That is very deep. No one gets married or divorced? The internet always existed? *Scratches head*.

There should be a word for psuedo-philosophical debate.

The possibility of the idea for the internet already existed, it was just waiting for someone to think it up. =)

Every exit is an entry

I like this one. Howzabout you Swami?

What if everything around you
Isn't quite as it seems?
What if all the world you think you know,
Is an elaborate dream?
And if you look at your reflection,
Is it all you want it to be?
