all of these things are real and supported by evangelical christians, roman catholics and many other religions

Numbers 1 and 4 are parts of more conservative religious teaching, but hardly representative of religion as a whole.  Frankly, I have trouble seeing what's wrong with point number 2 and 3.

all religion has faults. The sad thing is these ideas are supported by the religious democratic masses, what does that mean?

Religion is useless in today's society any moral values can be taught without religion, science can safely advance and so can the human race

we can't regulate any of those, as churches and religious schools are private institutions.

i do, however, understand the threat that evangelical christians pose to this country and the world. they are a highly organized voting block who are actively trying to usurp the government. no pun intended but god help us if they ever get the control they are seeking.

Indoctrination..

both the problem and the answer..

How is indoctrination acceptable?

How is an Organization allowed to collect tax free profit for nothing really or even  bend laws?

They aren't

ill let you ponder that one,  Im going to party :discorex:

Indoctrination happens all the time, secular and religious. You can't raise a kid without imposing your own assumptions and worldview upon their experiences. Atheists and agnostics do it too.

Most people in the world are religious, so you're only isolating yourself by taking on the rhetoric that the world would be better off without religion. It's smarter to fight ignorance and virulent dogma than it is to fight people's deeply-held spiritual convictions.

Evolution is fine and dandy IMO until people start claiming abiogenesis.

Once you get into that realm, it's anyone's guess.

I'm the kind of guy that kind of believes that "god" created evolution

"God" = the all (source) in this analogy (to keep it simple.)

I'm an evolutionary creationist ;D

Best of both worlds

Abuse; I just want to point out that creationism does not necessarily involve a supernatural creator

Abrahamic religion does not actually claim a supernatural creator, that's a misconception.

Genesis isn't really that bad of a metaphoric, narrative guideline.

Because you said you loved "The God Delusion" which is written in the context of a supernatural or personal creator which you likely may not be aware does not apply to true Abrahamic religion.

I have no interest in attacking you religion/spirituality, but the above is false. I presented in a moderate amount of detail the overall picture of how abiogenesis worked in the earth's early atmosphere. It is the only naturalistic explanation for life, & it has extensive supporting evidence. If a natural explanation provides a satisfactory answer to a problem, then it is by definition irrational to invoke the supernatural. One should work to further work to solve the problem through natural processes/explanations if they want to achieve greater understanding, not dismiss a mountain of evidence in favor of a mirage.

I'm not religious FYI.

There is no evidence of abiogenesis, biological evolutionary process sure, but the jump to reproduction and metabolism no.

There is no mountain of evidence of the long jump from base elements to super long and complex amino acids required for reproduction and metabolism.

As i have said before "creationism" does not need to involve the supernatural.  "God" IS nature IMO.

In this regard there is nothing wring with saying that nature created life, it does not conflict with evolution or science in any way.

The fact still remains however, that we have no evidence of abiogenesis.

If you are claiming there is, i would kindly ask you to provide a source for your claim because i would be very interested.

Lol, you're funny. It is more than simply a hypothesis; it has numerous pieces of data to support it (vs. none to support magic.)

You don't know the real definition of magic do you?  There is a rich record of history explaining that "magic" and "art" or creativity are the same thing.  Science is an art in it's own rite.

Quote:
Second, you propose no science (bc you don't have any), & instead attack (but not with science, just incorrect one-liners)

A Ssentific theory or hypothesis does not require and alternative theory in order for it to be disproven, you should know this as someone who claims to be into science.

I suspect you put the same faith and authority into scientists that a christian does a priest.

the most modern understanding of something, dismissing extensive evidence, in favor of baseless superstition.

There is no evidence of abiogenesis, you obviously have not looked into it.

Quote:
Go ahead; let's hear your hypothesis.

Nature created life.  voila - scientific creationism.

Quote:
Nevermind, you don't have one; you'd rather blindly accept untestable magic than use reason & experimental evidence to achieve an understanding of how things work in the universe (i.e. naturally.)

Magic is natural, and has been tested and proven, this is one thing that does have a mountain of evidence, you just need to get over your "supernatural" stumbling block.  Magic does not claim to be "supernatural" except on TV.

Not a very scientific way to arrive at your conclusion.

There is evidence of magic in this thread.  Other users posts are influencing your consciousness and altering your reply.

That is evidence of magic.

Did you know that "Chemistry" literally means Egypt-istry or something along the lines of; "study or practice of doctrine, quality or state of Egypt"

Alchemy, Chemistry's precursor also literally means "from Egypt"

Al - From

Kemet - Egypt.

Egypt had a rich culture of magic, science, literature and alchemy.

If it were not for magic and alchemy, there would be no chemistry or evolutionary theory.
