Maybe if used game stores weren't raping people on prices and making such a killing they wouldn't have to go to such drastic measures.

They're only raping people when you sell your used game to them.  They can pretty much name their own price when selling it back to the public.

I don't understand why the big game companies don't offer their own buy-back service.

Probably because they're making so much from the initial sale/subscriptions that they don't need to.  It's like if you're that lazy that you don't want to incorporate a buy back program, then stop knocking the second hand retailers from doing so.

They're testing the waters. If the game sells well, expect more companies to adopt this standard.

This, so very true. It's like the online games that you have to pay an extra 10 bucks if you bought it used to play it on-line. "project ten dollar"
Ah I miss the glory years of gaming. Now a days it.... ah!!

That's total shit. The game better cost only $5, cause if you're trying to charge full price for a 1 time only game, fuck that.

Maybe it's because of the radiation they've gotten already that made this happen.

That is entirely a possibility. Instead of radiation turning them into mutants, it makes them formulate these outlandish money grubbing schemes.
