"It's been confirmed that Resident Evil: Mercenaries 3D for the Nintendo 3DS is a game that once finished, cannot be reset for complete replay. According to both the U.S. and U.K. game's instruction manual "saved data on this software cannot be reset."


Sounds like the Japanese are deserving of some more radiation dumped on their heads for such outrageous greedy cuntery like this.

They're testing the waters. If the game sells well, expect more companies to adopt this standard.

If I owned a retail store chain (Gamestop, Best Buy, etc) I'd just choose not to sell the fucking game.  They know they won't be able to re-sell it, and most of their margin comes from used games... there's no point in selling it new.

Maybe it's because of the radiation they've gotten already that made this happen.

That is entirely a possibility. Instead of radiation turning them into mutants, it makes them formulate these outlandish money grubbing schemes.

Maybe if used game stores weren't raping people on prices and making such a killing they wouldn't have to go to such drastic measures.

They're only raping people when you sell your used game to them.  They can pretty much name their own price when selling it back to the public.

capcom is the dealer who has good stuff but gives you a short bag for extra cost




here's the fighting game you've been waiting 10 years for...it's pretty sweet but it has 4 backgrounds,

and if you get every alternate costume pack as they come out you'll end up spending anywhere from 30-$100 in addition to the $60 you paid for the game

Capcom recently released a Monster Hunter game for the Iphone, not only is it crap (picture a stick figure hitting a bootleg pic of a dinosaur) it charges you extra money beyond the 5$ you already paid for items that will help you in game.

The game requires you to repeatedly do the same quests, and every single quest is the same battle but with a slightly different monster

Capcom also has outdated servers and organizes them as though players are employees clocking in with useless flow charts of options to pick up where you started.

Also marvel vs capcom 3 sucks, they could have really opened a new diminution in fighting but they chose a quick turd to feed gamers

I doubt they're going to make much more money by doing this. Unless they lower the initial price of the game then this is a stupid idea.
