Have you ever swam with Dolphins or whales? i did. * 1

So I've been in key largo (just got back to west palm beach)

their were some pilot whales stranded, calf's and they contracted pneumonia they were unable to swim so they could not keep their blow holes out of water, we had to hold them it's normally just a four hour shift rotation but i stayed damn near 16 in the water total.

the whale i was with was 300, she was very sick and needed alot of care and she was also the largest (600 pounds) with a flick of her fluke she sent me flying to the other side of the pen, but for the most part she behaved well...untill her trainer showed up with fish... lol

i had a good time, i've never seen a whale much less had a chance to hold one in my arms. i felt bad cause they were sick but when i asked the biologist what their intelligence level was he told me that they are damn near human, so i'm glad they had some idea that we were there to help.

You know that, whats really funny. I came there to help the whales, but they were the ones that helped me I've been feeling aweful lately, tired of life and all that extremely depressed over my ex..ect

but while i was with them i found enough peace to let some shit go, i feel so much better. i'm bringing my tent and back pack next week and i'm going to stay for a while. if there is anyone who'd like to volunteer with me that be awesome! They people are great, most of em burn and every one is easy going and very generous.

You may not get payed in money, but now i can say i've done something that not many people in the world ever get a chance to do.
i mean seriously. Have you ever touched a whale?

That fucker was not little. 8 feet long. i was scared at first when i got there, i was like....uhhh....she's lookin at me funny...

over 20 were stranded most died, the ones we had were ,300 302 and 301 (names) and yeah 300 was 8 feet long and 600 pounds.

WOW man...I would like so much to join you, if only I wasn't thousands of miles away...you rock Happy-fun-whale explorer! Animals are so cool...they don't have a heavy ego, they take life simply and are happy as long as they live.

it's amazing what a selfless act can do for you


never swam with whales, I've been diving with some dolphins, swam with
sharks, manatees and probably a few gators on that trip

i could use an adventure. but you know those legally binding contracts like housing and work are always working to keep a brotha from healin' some whales.
