A working adventure

My company has picked up a contract to do some work in Southern Cal. Its a job that has gotten fucked up and the developer is losing something like 2 million dollars a month until it gets fixed. So we are going to go do the fixes. I will be leaving Vegas Sunday morning, driving my big rig to So Cal, and spending every day for the next 2 weeks working 12 hour days. The company has a hotel room booked for me (Holiday Inn Express, not the best but not too bad either) and I get $30 cash a day to feed myself (already got the first weeks $210 worth in my pocket).
Its going to be a lot of work but I'm used to 12 hour days anyway. I'll just have no days off for the next 2 weeks. I think it will be kinda fun anyway. I'm always up for an adventure. I almost feel like I am going on a vacation, I just have to work while I'm there!
The biggest bitch is that I will have Shroomery withdrawls as I sit in my hotel room each night! I have no laptop and I'll be too fucking lazy after that much work to hunt down a public internet access terminal. Oh well, somehow I think I'll live. I plan on taking my camera so I'll probably post some pics and 'trip' reports when I return.
Wish me luck!

I operate machinery. I'll be digging sewer lines for something like 250 homes.

I already do a lot of 12 hour days so I'm used to it. Sometimes I work even longer (I've done as much as 16 in a day). But I have my weekends off. It will be hard to go 2 weeks without a break! But the money will be really good!
